Israel has its elections on Tuesday, and as Christians we should be remembering this nation in prayer at this very difficult time. It is the only democracy in the area. The last few months especially have been a very difficult time: Ariel Sharon's stroke and still in a coma;Gaza handed over to the Palestians, and Israelis forcibly removed;overwhelming victory of Hamas in the Palestian elections recently; this means that one of Israel's enemies is camping right at its doorIran and the threat of nuclear bombs and rockets.Iran is not just a threat to Israel, but to the whole world.The Israelis are confused and uncertain who to vote for.We should pray for God's will to be done at this time, and to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" Psalm 122 v 6.Sue
