James 2:14-24 Paraphrased

I invite the most critical critics on translating/interpreting to give me theire insight.I would like anyones thoughts on this.I know what words I can or cannot use because of the greek, but I was a liitle more liberal on the least impotant words to make it eazyer to read. I'm sure that this is equal to the thought and/or meaning of what James is saying.James 2:14-24 14: What does it benifit, my friend, though someone sais that he believes in God but does not respond to HIM, will this kind of empty faith bring salvaition? 15, 16: If a relitive is in need and anyone with your empty faith sais to them, "Go home and be okay" with out giving them what they need, how does this benifit them? 17: Just as that situation goes, if what you believe has no responce, your belief has no life to it. 18: Someone might say that you believe and I have a responce. I want you to show me your belief with out a responce and I will show you my belief by responding. 19: I know that you believe in God and that is right, but devils know that there is a God and tremble. 20: But please understand, oh empty person, that faith without a responce has no life. 21: Was"nt Abraham the father of faith justified by responding to God, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22: Don't you see how faith created his responce, and by respondonding, his faith was made complete? 23: And the scripture was fulfilled which sais, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24: You notice then how that by responding a man is made rightous, and not by faith only.

Hi there logic,I certainly like the simplicity of this statement..."if what you believe has no response, your belief has no life to it."I guess I wasn't the most critical critic you were looking for! (I'll try harder next time!;-) )MC
