Family devotions

Something upon my heart a burden if you will...FAMILY DEVOTIONS!!How few families have prayer together any longer...its always rush, rush, rush. In the jewish culture in Jesus day the rabbi would lead his diciple by example more than lectures. Without an example we have law "do as I say and not as I do". Parents are called to live an example to their kids I believe more than just words of instruction. Our children will have an anger problem if thats how we lead...etc... BUT if we lead by prayer then they to will learn. My wife is a PK and she and others like her were given rules....DONT DO THIS & DONT DO THAT, DONT? Jesus has given us authority to make disciples (Talmid)....and that is supposed to be an example not law. A disciple is consumed in being like Jesus by following His EXAMPLE to us....same for our children. We as parents have an awesome responsibilty to our children.....HOILNESS UNTO THE LORD.I remember praying years ago for revival in the church and the Lord said 'lets begin with your home, first.' I'll never forget that.
