Richard Foster

My pastor quotes Richard Foster and Eugene Peterson's The Message every once in a while as a teaching illustration. I have heard several people praise Foster's Celebration of Discipline. However, I just read some stuff suggesting that both men are in to New Age and Eastern Mysticism. Anybody know anything about this? thanks

This is the first I've seen/heard of it. I am re-reading Celebration [20th ed.] now. In the notes in the book it refers to Foster's Quaker background/leanings but that and New Age are as opposite as they can come. You should not throw out that kind of accusation without proof...What have you read? Who wrote it? Do you have links?
