Psycology? Biblical or Antichrist?

I've been conversing with others about Psycology and am persuaded that it is Antichrist.True councilors will not tell you how to be delivered but will only lead you correctly to Christ for Him to heal, deliver, and forgive you. Anything els is other than Christ is is the very definition of Antichrist.Mental illness or anything that involvse our soul "psychy" is because we made it that way through Thoughts, beliefs, and actions throughout our lives. When we are born, our minds are a blank slate. We then learn ways of thinking based on what we learn to believe. How we think also plays a big role in the way our brain forms. The way we think literally changes the physical structure of our brain. After yaers of thinking a certain way, our mind becomes "used to" that thinking pattern. Like a "rut" in a road, when we ride a bike in a road with a rut, we are hard pressed to ride in that rut. The physical operations and functions of the brain are naturally connected to the sieries of habitual ways of thinking based on what we believe. We create neural pathways by thinking the same way though out our life. This in turn plays a role in how the chemistry of our brain works. Bad thought patterns can bring chemical imbalances.The reason you have lost control is because you have suffered physical neurological changes based in your brain and nervous systems. The disorder manifests in long term behaviors which were not outside the realm of your own control but eventualy became out of the realm of your own controlthrough time. It is true enough that it begins with chosen behavior, but the problem has moved outside the realm of free choice it has developed into a long term mental and physical neurological disorder.Now that the new neurological pathways are permanently established they will not just disappear accept by prayer and seeking GOD!The danger is, thinking that you just happend to get this disorder by no reason of yourself, like you are innocent. You must know that you are guilty of bringing this onto yourself, by reason of believing lies that lead you to where you ended up in your condition. Are we not all sinfull by nature when we are born until we are born again? This is why beliveing lies are so dangerous and why it is a fact that the truth shall make you free;John 8:32 God does not play the blaim game.We must pray to Jesus to show us the lies that we hold and start believing the truth of the matter which is causeing the Psycological problems.As we practice thinking and believing in the way we should, it will restructure the neural pathways correctly and inturn balance the chemical imbalance, but, again, this can only be done by prayer seeking GOD.

Hia Brother.I agree with most of what you are saying.I was 'supposed' to go on to be the Psychologist in our family but after years of preparatory study, at 26 I went to Bible school instead ... ha.Psychology cannot cure the human psyche, and I have testimonies of hundreds of secular psychiatrists that say this very thing.There is NO CURE there. And now that they've made a "Disorder" out of every behavior and conviently have a Drug for each ... there's BIG Money in this Disorder business. And it's a Fraud ... and I'm quoting secular psychiatrists again here ... and not my own "suspicions".What I think is that people are "bent" by their childhoods and any traumas that happen then or after.It is up to us as The BODY to help them find Peace and Wholeness through compassion, empathy, being "an ear" and praying with them.But it does not help to talk over and over and over about our childhood or the event that we feel "twisted us".I can listen for a long time and even when a person repeats the same story over and over, but there comes a point that the Holy Spirit says ... "ENOUGH !!! Enter into "forgiveness" now and see what JESUS Died for - to make you a NEW CREATURE in Christ CONTINUOUSLY".This "I've been abused" stuff only goes so far and then it's just an excuse for our freewill 'wanting' to stay "messed up or messing up".Forgiveness and forgiving others and a FREE CONSCIENCE is the only path to healing.Yes, our "thoughts" are not "material/physical" things and THAT is what we need to get under the Cross and The Word.Prayer and "be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds".I think we should ALL listen to each other's "growing up times or traumas" because we are to be tender hearted and try to understand what may have hurt each other and "bent the twig" as they say "as a twig is bent, so it grows" ... that IS true .... but it's the "UN-BENDING" process that is diametrically different/opposed to Psychology than God's Way Out.One good site .... http://www.psychoheresy-aware.org/questions.htmlYou'd have to read their books to really see their knowledge or understand them.They've been a Godsend to many.I can't cover the whole subject in one post nor do I feel I should or could.Thanks.Annie

"Christian Psychology" seems mostly to be untruthful garbage that was made up by men who know not the Lord. It is constantly used as an excuse for sin...my 2 cents :-)

Sooooooo - I'm not discompassionate.But I wish you could see my Desktop.TONS of Desktop Shortcuts to 'Secular Sites' by psychiatrists AGAINST psychiatry and the drugging of America, etc.Just a few of those I have are listed at the bottom of this page under "Psychology and Psychiatry Website Links" I don't take any of this lightly, because "mental anguish" is the largest problem to hit "America".We've lost all capacity to "cope".I can recommend good books by secular Psychiatrists also that debunk psychiatry as we know it.You can order them at your library to read.One is Reality Therapy by Dr. William Glasser and The Myth of Neurosis by Dr. Wood.These do not give Christian ways of 'resolution', but you can incorporate their writings to see that one says, "LOVE" is the answer and "ridding one's GUILT" in the Myth of Neurosis.There are very many more secular books I could recommend by secular Psychiatrists that Debunk it all but I think just looking into BIBLICAL COUNSELING ---- NOT "Christian Psychology" is sufficient.God Bless.edited to add link.

My theory of neurological pathways being created is based on Romans 1:28, God gave them over to a reprobate mind. Furthermore, in verse 24 & 26, He gave them up to worse ways of acting and thinking because of the things they thought, believed, and did; denieing God and His truth.Therefore it can be true for psychological ailments?They forget, or will not associate biblical actions for healing because it "didn't work" or "it's been 10 years of seeking god".However, the way they seek God is through other christians, ministers or ministeries and rarely Jesus and Him alone, also they only come to Him for the healing and not only to worship Him period.They come to those to be lead to cope, look for methods of healing that only cover up the real cause, and excuses for theire behavior, and for sympathy.When you come against people involved in psychology or psychiatry, especialy patients, they become very resentful because it "steps on there toes".

Hia Logic,The "science" behind all of this has been exposed by 'true' researchers into brain chemistry.What happens is that the Money makers teach that it is a "chemical imbalance" that "starts" these things.NO - true science has proven that "thoughts", whether through fears or self-pity or self-absorption or depression "starts" or "causes" these chemicals to get going.Anxiety for instance, is a rush of adrenaline and so on from there.To the degree that one is under the stress of this anxiety, then other chemicals are released and before long the person can actually go into psychosis.Men exposed to the extremes of the ravages of War can develop Post Traumatic Stress, which can manifest from anxiety to halucinations, nightmares and psychosis type responses.That is not "psychology" but the body reacting chemically to extreme stress. But with Christ and prayer from others and being shown the Scriptures that heal and set the power of the Living Word into their lives, they 'can' be helped. And their central nervous system and bio-chemical reactions 'can' heal.Yes, without HIM, it BECOMES a cascading problem from there.It is not "neurological pathways", but yes, the Central Nervous System can be damaged by extended stress and anxiety .... but in your average depression and anxiety cases ... "unregenerated thoughts", that in some, cause the chemical reactions that the money makers "claim" is the "cause" rather than the "affect" of the person's "thinking".Do not fault those who seek "help" from traumatic events, from Pastors or 'Biblical' Counselors, because some people are so wounded by others (child molestation, ritual abuse, incest, death threats, war, etc.) that that is what the BODY OF CHRIST is there for .... to "bear ye one another's burdens".Some people need a good 'Biblical' Counselor, to pray through with them and give them the Scripture to heal them.We are not lone-rangers in our walk with God ... healthy or not .... we NEED The Body.You cannot say that others are wrong for seeking help from good Bible based Pastors, etc., if they've been sexually or physically or mentally abused - year after year since childhood.Jesus is the Great Physician, but He has also given us each other and the gifts of the Lord, in Pastors, etc. etc., to help one another.We're to be there for each other and not give them no choice but to turn to the world and the world's pharmakeia for help.God knows, there are many in the Church today who would have done better or do better now, if they had educated Christians to turn to.Again, that is what The Body of Christ is for .... and Churches should be like Hospitals ... able to take care of the multitudes as He commanded we do for others and each other.
