Worldly What is it?

Hello all!I invite every saint to meditate on the word of God written in 1 John 2 so we may come up with some good practical lesson on this issue so we may be edify, challenged, and changed.May the good Lord multiply His blessings upon the Israel of God.1 John 2:15 …. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world, ·\tthe lust of the flesh, and ·\tthe lust of the eyes, and ·\tthe pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.-The love of the Father is not in him. Does that imply he has not the Father, or he is not Christian anymore, never was one, fallen from faith or what? -What are the consequences of not having the love of the Father? -Is worldliness as bad as any other sin?I would like us to look on these three aspects (lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life) also and see when can we say in our harts that are illuminated by the Spirit of God that, this activity does not influence fleshly lust or the lust of the eyes, and my desire/choice action does not have influence my ego (can we draw a line to say up to this point is not lust of the eyes).God bless you all.Gica

The love of the Father is not in him. Does that imply he has not the Father, or he is not Christian anymore, never was one, fallen from faith or what?I don't believe this word is an absolute statement consering the eternal state of a believer but one of practical experience. If one loves the world, then the love of the Father is absent from him.You cannot love God and mammon, the Lord Jesus said.But the question always presents itself, "how can one not love the world?" Can one make a decision to love God and not the World? Can you manipulate the springs of your heart and by an exercise of the will, cause it to hate what it finds attractive?As H. C. G. Moule in His hymn says:Yet how can this unready willat once at every point repellthe heart's own traiters, aided stillby energies of hell? A sinners watch against his sin,I keep with weary sighs in vainIn vain on evil deep withinthis aching gaze I strain."As Moule goes on to say, the way to overcome the world and sin is to look to Christ, to come to Christ, to feed on Christ, to eat Him as the Isrealites struck the blood and ate the Lamb in Egypt to be strengthened to come out of egypt.If we are not daily feeding on Christ, enjoying Him as our indwelling Life, worshiping Him, loveing Him, taking Him as our rich supply, and being strengthened by His Spirit into our inner man, we can do no other than love the world because that is the nature of our fallen life.If we are loving the World, we are not loving Christ or the Father. This is an indication of our great need to come to Him, to contact Him, to enjoy Him and to be strengthened by Him. And thus we find, "The love of God shed abround in our hearts through the HOly Spirit who is given to us.And through the Spirit's work within us, we find the attractions of the world losing their luster, the vanity of the world becomming repugnant to us, and the glorious Person of Christ to be our only satisfaction.A believer who finds the world to be attractive is one who does not enjoy the reality of Christ within him, does not practice daily to contact Him, does not see and enjoy the splender of His Person and is not abiding in his spirit but living in his natural life.As Moule concludes" Thus shall I find a wakeful powerwithin me feltbut not of methus meet the foes of each new hourby looking unto TheeEphesians 3:16-19 "That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man.
