Is God sad when Christians fall into sin?

Hi... When we, as Christians, fall into sin, do we hurt God's feelings..? Do we make him sad? Or is he angry with us, as when we were not covered by the blood of Christ?
It sounds like something that could be possible, that God Almighty would be "sad" when we fall into sin, failing to do his will, following our own lust.. ... even likely, I think, maybe?... But is he then mad and angry, or does he get sad...?

Is there any SCRIPTURAL support of any of these views?

Does anyone know any Bible passages or verses that says something about it? :-)

Yes, God gets both sad and angry when we fall into sin.

Sadness: "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit." (Ephes4:30)
Grief is sadness.

Anger: In Revelation Chapters two and three there are several examples of Jesus getting angry with the church.

For example, Revel 2: 4 "But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!"

His anger even goes so far as to make threats against the church: Revel 2: 5 "Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don’t, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches."

God even goes so far as to say that His own church is so sinful that it makes him vomit: Revel 3: 16 "So, because you are lukewarm -- neither hot nor cold -- I am about to spit you out of my mouth."

It is no light matter for Christians to fall into sin.

When we fail the Lord it does not surprise Him. He is not taken back, He is not taken off guard.

He has a goal and objective and that is to conform us to the image of His Son. And in many cases he allows us to fail and even fall into sin to show us our own nature and our own need of Him to live by Hm and not by our own self effort.

When we fail Him and continue in it, we become subject to His dicipline which is not out of anger but he diciplines us for our good.

But in any case His provision is confession and clensing by the Blood of Christ.

Repentance is not our determiniation to try harder next time, but rather our turning our heart to Him confessing our failure and applying to Him for His all sufficient Grace and overcomming Life.

IN this way our confidence in our own ability is broken and Christ is worked into us as grace and Life and This is what pleases God. Not our determination to live a certian way but our relience upon Christ as our indwelling Life and supply.

I hurt my own feelings when I go into sin!!

If our "feelings are hurt" when we fall into sin it is our pride that is wounded. We do not believe we are sinners. We think we are good people. But we are not. We are disapointed in ourself because we expected something out of our Self.

When we are broken and know ourselves by the Spirit's light, we are not surprised at our falls and failures because we know that "in me dwells no good thing, that is in my flesh". We know that whenever we take our eyes off of Christ and are not abiding in Him as branches in the Vine enjoying the rich Divine Sap of the Spirit, we can do nothing but fail Him and our success is nothing but Self expressed.

Are we greater than God? Do we live to please ourselves or God? Our feeling hurt by our own failure is by far the worst failure becuase it shows us where our heart is. We are still living in and by our natural Life and are not living by christ. We have never had our natural life exposed and we are still living by our Self and expressing our Self and dissapointed in our Self when we fail. It is Self that is wounded.

A broken vessel just turns calmly and believingly back to the Lord and confesses, "Lord, apart from you I can do nothing. Clense me with your precious Blood and renew a right spirit within me. I need more of you Lord. I need more of Christ."

2 Corinthians 5:12-21 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

As we can say I don't commend myself, but give you occasion to glory on my behalf, that you can answer those which glory in appearance of what they are, but not in the Heart as we all should.

We are not to know each other by our sin anymore,

:16 yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

We don't even know Christ anymore in His sinless flesh. We are to know each other as new creatures, Christ being the first One. This is how we are to see ourselves, if any man be in Christ. Behold all things are become new. The old things of the flesh are passed away and all things now are of God, in this reconciling us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given us this reconciling ministry that all might see That God the Father was In Christ reconciling the whole world unto Himself, Not holding our sins against us. So the whole world is saved and we must just get them to believe it. That is how powerful The Cross is.

:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Corinthians 1:30-31 But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Lets not glory in Satan condemnation and our sin and how bad we are, making The Cross of no avail. Let us glory In Him who is made unto us righteousness by Jesus Christ.
