This morning in worship service a question came to me that I never heard discussed and perhaps someone here can answer it for me?
What happened to the OT tabernacle after the temple was built by Solomon and moved into?

I've wondered too. To my knowledge, the Scriptures don't say anything about it. It seems to have totally vanished. I imagine they probably kept it in the temple treasury, and if so, it was most assuredly destroyed with the temple was raised to the ground.
So I am not the only one who has wondered about this....
Since neither the temple nor the tabernacle are in existance today one can easily believe they were destroyed somewhere along the way although no mention is made of it in the Scriptures. OK, you Josephus scholars, is there a word in there about it, what happened to it?
The question comes "Why is this so?" Personally, I have no idea or theory and would like to see what you think....
