i listend to a sermon by keith daniel ... and he claims this is a promise. Now this is true in my life when i gave my life to christ everyone said that it was wrong called my crasy and names and so on.... but my real question is...

if you dont suffer any persecution? are you really in christ then?

A thought provoking question. I'm thinking the very position of 'being in Christ' WILL bring persecution, as His presense is an 'offense' to the unregenerated. The operative word, I think, is 'persecution', which comes in many forms.
