Stever responds:
That is a tough one that many Pastors discuss from time to time. If they were stranded on an Island, what two books from the Bible would they take? They would have to choose one book in the Old Testament and one book in the New Testament.
As far as the Hebrew is concerned, an easy one is the book of Habakkuk because it only has three Chapters and one of the main messages is to "wait on the Lord". Habakkuk always waited for the Lord to talk to him through the power of the Holy Spirit. He did not "step out in faith" and say something stupid, like we see so much of today in the charismatic Churches. He is an example for all of us---to wait upon the spirit, and hear the word, HIS Word, before we speak.
God bless,
Stever :-)
p.s. Please disregard this, I misunderstood the question. :-o
