Hahaha! Sounds ironic doesn't it. :-P

Anyways, I'll be going with the Salvation Army.

I will live in the slums of Oahu and love people as Jesus does and share the gospel. This particular area of Hawaii apparently has a lot of meth (highest per capita in the US) and alcohol abuse, TONS of homeless families, horrible education... It is a system of poverty. It is a place where both your average Hawaiian citizen and your tourist seldom go.

I will be living with a team of 6-8 other people. That will need prayer as well.

This is an interesting subject to investigate and to pray for.

OA in the city of Melbourne (Swanston and Burke Streets), with John Legg (aka, OA in the "DaVinci Code cinema" guy). One Friday a month presently. Otherwise, "preaching" as I "go into all the world".

I am a missionary-at-large.

I first received the calling to be a missionary when I was 17, but at that time I didn't know what would look like. I assumed it would mean I would join an organization, which we did for a few years (some 25 years ago), but that wasn't what God was referring to. He had something far broader in mind.

God has put a burden in my heart to preach the Gospel and be a witness of Jesus. This is mainly done here in eastern Ontario for now, and Lord willing will be downtown Toronto every Friday/Saturday (Yonge/Dundas, Yonge/Queen intersections) for the rest of the summer to preach open air, talk to people about Jesus, and hand out Gospel tracts and CD's.
