Hi hmmhmm...

I would have to say that there have a few books that have greatly affected my pilgrimage on Earth. A Christian in Complete Armour by William Gurnall played a powerful role in my walk with God. No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green was another great book that affected me. I wept when I read the Autobiography of Charles Finney (actually entitled MEMOIRS OF REVIVALS OF RELIGION). Hungry for More of Jesus and Set the Trumpet to thy Mouth by David Wilkerson increased the passion for the work of Christ in my heart. And of course, nearly every book by Leonard Ravenhill has had a profound effect upon my life.

There are many more -- but I cannot think of them at this time. I hope this helps.

The School of Christ, by T. Austin-Sparks, is an absolute life-changer. . .
You are able to get it in Swedish also. . .

What changed me? is a tough question. I would guess the best answer would be the persistence of the Holy Spirit. The literature he used in this process would have to be a thorough study of God's entire Word - the Old Testament compared with the New Testament. The prophets woud have to rank pretty high on this list, with Isaiah being my favorite. And there is one thing about it: you do not have to use discernment - is the writer correct? what are his underlying motives in saying this? What does the Bible say about this? Get it? - on whether this thing is true when you study the Word contexually.

I would say WATCHMAN NEE'S BOOKS have had a great impact on me. The Lord has reached out to me through most of his books. I can't point out one as the books and articles he has wrote have convicted me greatly, the Lord lived through this man.

I know you are asking about books, but there are some things I heard preached that have helped me over the years. One thing is 'half an hour of prayer in the morning saves and hour of confession in the evening'. Another thing I heard was 'it is not our duty to pray it is necessary, just like it is not our duty to breath, it is necessary'. If we want to live, we have to breath, and to live for God we need to pray. I love reading, maybe too much. But prayer is more essential. Hope this has helped. God bless you.
