Covet your prayers

Will be going out to share the Gospel shortly and I covet your prayers.

Thank you all, precious and beloved of the Lord.

Brothers, it was a great encouragement to know I had your prayers, thank you so much.

I'll share some of the labors with you...

In spite of the light rain at first things went well and I count faithfullness as victory so much as His grace enables me to be. At first it felt as though the devil had walled up the hearts of everyone I approached. I thank God though that I've learned to ignore such appearances and instead let it provoke me to more prayer and reliance upon God; sometimes I'll just stand on a corner and wait for a while.

The place I started out was near China town and around the greyhound bus station; this area always seems thick with opposition in the spirit. After this I headed over to market street and was able to start up a conversation with a group of young girls, some of whom were dressed as muslims and one turned out to be a preacher's daughter. During the conversation she seemed to be under conviction and showed concern for her soul.

It seemed like the devil was soon at it again and tried to disrupt our conversation with a professing muslim man that approached us at first asking for money. I gave him some money and told him what we were talking about and invited him to listen. He soon inturrupted again by asking the girls if they were looking for a boyfriend! I told him that what we were talking about was very important and that his question was very innapropriate, especially to be asking such young girls. He soon left but not without distracting one of the more outspoken muslim girls by accusing her of talking with Christians, they have a specific name for this. Soon after this they left.

Next I happened across a couple sitting on some steps and struck up a conversation with them. They turned out to be catholics. The woman was very open to the matters of eternity however it looked like the devil was at it again as the man with her, who appeared as if he had some sort of disability, perhaps from an injury, would not stop talking and asking questions. By God's grace I managed to remain focused and pressed on talking to the woman. She appeared to have a tender conscience but lacked a clear understanding of the justice of God and the work of the cross and the Gospel. I was able to take her through these things and present to her the nescessity of the new birth. When I left she had agreed to read the Gospel of John prayerfully asking what God required of her.

Finally I had a good converation with a young man from out of state. He and some friends were on a road trip, as he called it. While we were talking his friends actually left him on the street talking to me! What was amazing is that he was actually concerned enough about what we were talking about to stop in the middle of a huge city he seemed to know nothing about and talk to a complete stranger while his friends just walked away! I suspect he may have had some sort of Christian background as one of his comments was that he never understood 'it', the Gospel, like that before.

If you feel led please pray for these and the other souls I spoke to, trusting together that some sow, some water, but that it is God that gives the increase. Also please pray for a young man named Donavan. I feel as though I fumbled in speaking with him and failed to be sensitive in the Spirit. I pray that God will lead him to seek grace.

You are doing exactly as I need to do. And, starting this evening, in my own city, will do. We have an entire city block of crack bars and those who frequent them. I am an older man, and this will be a joy to me, to make some impact, challenge the enemy, dare someone to cross the line and make a choice for Jesus.
About The fumble, without your fumble there would have not been any effort. Eventually, that has to turn up for something. The Word of the Lord does not return Void.

I pray that God would be honored and cherished in the hearts of many. That many broken lives would be lifted up to Him and that everyone, everywhere, will behold Jesus, in all His glory. Amen.

How I hunger to be a part of THE move of Almighty God in this hour, in this place. And, part of THE move of Almighty God in This hour in Your place.

Hi Bill and everyone,

I was encouraged that several of the people I spoke with tonight showed concern for their souls.

Two, a brother and sister(biological), recieved the word with great concern and interest. He, the brother, even went away at one point to track down his girlfriend who had walked away, to bring her back to hear what we were talking about because he was asking me about his not being married and wanted her to hear.

Was able to speak with a homeless man who had tragically lost his wife and child in a car accident. He is a professing Christian, though in speaking with him, I do not think he had had a sound understanding of the justice of God before.

Also had a pleasant and encouraging conversation with a young couple who I assume were "Jehovah's witnesses". We spoke about the resurrection and future punishments and he said he had some things to think about. We also talked about the work of the Holy Spirit, being born again, and His work in revealing the truth of scripture apart from man's understanding.

There was a young girl that seemed to have gotten offended after we spoke for a while and walked away; she tore up the tract actually. I may have pressed the point to much, as up till then she had shown great concern, so please pray for her if led to.

Thank you all brothers and sisters.

Snatching souls out of the mouth of hell, as she seeks to enlarge herself on men's souls is the most Noble of pursuits.

Joining hands together, dancing around the Great Throne, singing, praising, beholding. That is a reward, especially for those who gave their lives for the Gospel.
