Are you an alien?

This question does not refer to little green men from Mars!
It refers to the scripture in Hebrews 11v13 that says...they confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. My question is, are we strangers, pilgrims, sojourners, aliens to this world? Are we anxious to go home? Are we looking, truly looking for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ? Or is this life too good to give up? Is there still a love for this world while professing Jesus as Lord?
James 1v8 tells us a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Are we double minded? About what? What is there to choose between? Christ or the world, there isn't a third option. Christ and the world doesn't exist
as far as God is concerned.

Let us be certain about where our loyalties, faithfulness lies. The days are short. Let us be ready for His return. God bless.

There are not many today that want to face your question for it means seperation. It will cost you friends, family, entertainment, it could even cost you the ultimate price of your life in some places of the world. The price is high for some but to others such as Paul," I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:" , this will make you a alien to the world but "ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;" we are just waiting for His call.

I had a young man about 12 years old ask me in our devotions at a youth camp why he couldn't just do his own thing. He told me that he didn't want to serve God or the devil, he just wanted to do what he wanted to do. I tried to make my reply simple and to the point that to whom ye yield yourself to it is that master that you are serving. We choose either Life in Jesus Christ or death and give ourself into the hands of satan.

"This old world is not my Home I'm just a passing through". It's time to get ready to go home. It's up to us to decide which way we are going. "I can't feel at home in this world anymore."

I couldn't help but notice that though the post had been read a bit, there was only one reply! It made me laugh, and also wonder. I wonder if all this talk about wanting revival is just nothing but talk and wishful thinking. If we want God to move, we have to start with ourselves because judgment begins at the house of God. Also, the word of God tells us in 1 Cor 11v31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. We are to judge ourselves by the mirror of God's holy word. Not by church doctrine or what others say, if that doctrine and what others say is outside of the word of God.

The question has repeatedly arisen in my prayer closet as to what it costs to follow Jesus and I've repeatedly said "Everything Lord." The Lord is coming after everything in my life so everything is given over to him but to my amazement I'm discovering all those things are simply dung. As Paul said in Phillipians [b]"Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,"[/b]

Although it cost absolutely everything to follow Jesus, it literally is all dung. All my pride, all my self-sufficiency, all of my "self" life. It's that awesome to discover. I'm out to win Christ by laying down everything that is not pleasing to Him.

As to the number of posts you've received I wouldn't worry about the number of times it's read or responded to. It's rather about are you saying what the Lord has laid on your heart or not. Keep on walking Enid, the Lord is with you.
