I read some comments about Israel and thought I would share what a dear Christian friend shared with me.
His name is Russell Clayton,92 years old July 14th. He is a missionary to America like Paul was to the Gentiles long ago. He travels from Chicago to Florida, staying in Christians homes and allow God to use him to teach and bless those who care for him. He became a Jewish Rabbi, thinking this would be his answer to his search for God. He is of the tribe of Levi but his religion did not fill his hunger for God. He became a Christian right before his attempt to commit suicide. That was forty-two years ago. He knows eight languages, has a doctrate and two master degrees. His greatest education is his study of the Word of God. He stated that the cities of refuge were made for the people to flee to so they could escape the blood avenger in case of an accidental death of another. The blood avenger could not touch one who was in one of the six cities of refuse. They were spread out and they could not go back to their city until the death of the High Priest. 1/3 of Israel has gone back although they do not recognize the death of their High Priest, Jesus. (Numbers 35:25-32 )Brother Clayton states that according to prophecy one third of those in Israel will die and the other 2/3s will flee. He said the 2/3s of the Jews that have not gone back are still in the present day cities of refuge across the world. (What was on a small scale in Israels day is on a world scale today.) The cities of refuge, where the highest concentration of Jews are is Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and three in Europe that I forgot. These will go back later probably after Jesus is recognized as the High Priest that was slain for the sins of the whole world. It is exciting days we are living in as God finishes His work with the Gentiles (Church) and turns His attention to His chosen people, Israel, who has blessed us with the greatest Blessing in history, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Also we are hearing now about Damascus. Isaiah 17:1 says The burden of Damascus, behold Damascas is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
I had to ask Brother Clayton where America fit in and he directed me to "daughter of Babylon" as "daughter" means a young country. The merchant ships are off our coasts mourning at the destruction that occurs in one hour.
To know our great God and King will ascend the throne of the Universe and end ungodliness and establish HIS KINGDOM is awesom to meditate on.
Genesis reveals the thumbnail of events on God's time scale. He finished His creation and made man in six days, then the seventh day He rested. He gave man dominion, man was deceived out of it and Satan stole it. Now Satan knows his time is near and God's seventh day He will bind Satan and give back to man the dominion that was stolen from him and he shall rule and reign with Christ the last day (1000 years) which is the Lord's Day. Amen for His wonderful plan and salvation of man. That men would understand He must be faithful to the Lord in these last days and repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus preached it until the end of His life. We must see the whole picture as to why we have been justified...to be a holy people, set apart for a higher purpose than to just go to Heaven.
