A Spiritual Son is Dead

Brethren,

I am deeply saddened right now. A young man who was a resident at the treatment centre where I work has passed away over the weekend.

While he was a resident at the centre he would come to church with me, we read the word together and prayed. Just last week he phoned me from jail, we prayed together, I encouraged him to press in to God.

Both of his parents had died years ago. He had nobody. He was from an Indian reserve in northern Ontario. I had visited his home community, it was bleak to say the least.

I just wish I could have spent more time with him.

We really don't know when we are going to die or when the people around us will go. We have to wake up. This truly is a dying world.

Murray
The word of God tells us precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Death does bring sadness, it is only natural. With time the pain lessens, whether it goes totally is an idividual thing.
You can rejoice that he is with the Lord now and that one day you will see him again. God is good, glory to His name. God bless.

Dear Murray,
I'm with you in spirit, praying for your comfort.

He did, and is with Jesus in the heavenly Jerusalem.

This morning I read 2nd Timothy, there is much in that last lonely Epistle of Paul's.

may God comfort your heart with the Assurance we rest on.
