As a member of the board of the Southeast Open Air Preachers Association, an Open Air Preacher and alumni of Moody Bible Institute. I can honestly say that C. Spurgeon laid the wood to the matter at hand when he said the following:
"We do not in any degree apologize because the shock (over the methods and message of these our brethren) which like that of a cold bath early in the morning, will do the people good, and strengthen their constitutions. We can assure them that they cannot be one-half so much as shocked by our ridicule of error as we are by the error itself. We do not make the evil, we only expose it; and if we use words and symbols, which strike and stick, and even, offend, we believe that they are necessary, and ought to be used far more frequently. We are not going to handle the abominations of the present American culture with kid gloves; and if we judge sarcasm and ridicule to be deserved, we shall give the Lord’s enemies their full quota of scorn."

There will be no APOLOGIES!
The sinner stands condemned already and on his merry way to Hell as the so-called Christian stands opposed to the BOLD and unashamed, dogmatic declaration of fundamental BIBLICAL truths. This is especially irritating to the eye and ear of the soul that has been trained by their favorite Television evangelist. The BIBLICAL utilization of satirical and sarcastic treatment of the foibles of modern, neo-evangelicals and pagans alike shall not be buried under, glossed over and or sanitized by the popular and unbiblical concept of "love" and or whatever else is deemed or considered to be "appropriate" by the public sector. The unbiblical standard of a neo-evangelical version of "political correctness" shall be heartily rejected and condemned as a means of judging that which is clearly taught in the Scriptures.
The office of the Open Air Preacher,
The calling of the Open Air Preacher, and
The message of the Open Air Preacher, shall not, in any way, be harmed by the protracted polemic of the opposition. Opposition and rejection are part of the office of the prophet...the prophet is not welcome, he is a critic of the established churchianity and dead wood religious system of our modern day Americanized Gospel. He will not last long as the vipers of religiosity encircle him and smite him but not before he has been given the opportunity to unleash a VERBAL WHIP upon the arrogant hypocrites who assume to know what is "right and wrong" according to their own preconceived ideas of how things should be...
It is no secret or a surprise that the SHOCK and AWE of the BANNER of the BLOOD soaked cross of Christ is highly offensive to MOST who call themselves "Christians" in the modern neo-evangelical church! We shall continue to DECLARE the BLOODY Cross no matter how SHOCKING it is...we shall continue to preach a message that will cause great consternation in those who call themselves "brothers"...We shall publically preach and declare the BOLD, NAKED TRUTH of our DOCTRINE without apology...And as Charles Spurgeon said in his piece titled "The WAR HORSE"
and which the Open Air Preach does heartily concur with respect to the attitude of the arm chair critic...GET OUT OF THE WAY!

We shall not retreat...we shall not give up, we shall not succumb to the neo-evaglical doctrine of neutrailty and non-offense. We shall preach with the Fire and the Anointing of the Holy Ghost and with our hearts burning with His Word within us.
