Paul Washer was interviewed by Ingrid Schlueter on the Augest 16, 2006 Crosstalk America show. He isn't on the show though until about half way through the fortieth minute due to some mysterious technical difficulties. Rev. Paul Washer is an itinerant preacher and the General Director for HeartCry Missionary Society.
Ingrid played excerpts of a message by Paul Washer that was preached to 5,000 young people at a Southern Baptist conference.
Ingrid pointed out that the message was not well received. Why is that? Today, Christian youth are exposed to many entertainment based Bible messages. This is in direct contrast to Reverend Washer's message. He communicated that far too many people believe that even though they love so many things in the world, they're saved because at some point in their life they prayed a prayer and supposedly "accepted" Christ into their life.
Reverend Washer debunks this notion of split allegiance. He explains how we need to learn how to love the things that God loves and hate the things that God hates, recognizing that the only reason we are saved, if in fact we are, is because Jesus, on the Cross, took upon himself the wrath of the Father; wrath that would otherwise have fallen on us.

This interview is encouraging to hear. May God restore the true biblical message of salvation to the church in our day.

I would be surprised if it would be otherwise.
The doctrine they hold to -Once Saved Always Saved - has done more people harm then good. It has given them license to sin with no fear of punishment. In practical terms they tolorate immorality, and all kinds of lifestyles that make it easy BECAUSE we are not to judge! How do I know? I have counseled their young for 15 years at a CPC. Sad, very sad. God have mercy!
I used to say I would like to make my rounds and privately discuss these issues with the pastors, but I have met too many of them who will only say what they think you want to hear. AND they have an occupation to protect.
Sorry I am so cynical....
