i need all three :)
im praying about this, but im in a dilema... its been very good result of saints who have helped me here before, im right now in some confusion.... right now im home whitout a job, i have 5 kids, one on the way. I see chanses for a job and by that an improved and esier life for the entire family,
but i as i was serching for emplyment i found a bible school, and i for no reason called them, and the person i spoke whit said well if you come here tomorrow we might take you in after an interview, and i was excited... but then i will have less money then..so it will be harder for my family... i just dont know... it seems like this is to much of a "happend by chanse" , or maybe i should wait one year.... mature in christ some more... and work...or should i just cast myself out in faith into this school? i feel strongly that i want to serve christ whit everything...of course i can do that in my home and i do. I pray about this... but i get nervous that i will make the wrong desicion... i only have 24 hours to decide this...and the consecuenses will alter the course for my hole family.

thanks for advice and prayers
gods peace to you

Lacking wisdom, i can't offer much advice, but i can and will pray for you brother. I see you here, and i see someone who is on fire for Jesus.

God bless you

Feed your family. What did we do before Bible schools came along? If you are hungry for the Lord Bible school will probably be a hinderance to you since you will be given over to man's reasoning about the scriptures and will have to conform to their interpretations. In the meantime your family will suffer. When they need you, you won't be there. There is a price to pay for that.

I'm 68 and have never been to Bible school...Based on what I encounter, even on this forum, I haven't missed a thing.

Seek the Lord with all your might. He will fill you with Himself.

In Jesus,

Orm

Dear brother Christian:

Have you determined that God is calling you to school? Some He does and some He doesn't. If God has called you to school, even though you will have less money, He will provide and take care of you and your family.

It has been my experience that God isn't interested in my having an easier life but an abundant life! The abundant life comes from walking with Him even through life's difficult trials.

God called me and my family to Bible college in 2001 - I was 38 years old at the time. We didn't know how we were going to pay for school; we didn't know how we were going to put groceries on the table; we didn't know where we were going except for the fact that we knew where the college was. We packed up our belongings and moved to the college (me, my wife, my daughter, and my son). My daughter also entered the same college at the same time. All we knew was that God had called and we were going to be obedient - so we went out not knowing where we were going but knowing with Whom we were going!

Me and my daughter graduated in 2005. We never missed a meal; we never missed a bill; we payed for our daughter's wedding in 2003; and we graduated debt free without owing anything for the education. God faithfully provided and we have many testimonies of how He did. While I am no proponent of a "prosperity gospel", I am a proponent of the faithfulnes of God to provide where He guides.

If God is calling you to school then He will provide. His timing is perfect also - this may or may not be His timing for you now - but it may be His way of putting a deep desire in your heart to do what He wants you to do. May God direct your steps in the right paths for His name's sake!

Grace and peace
Olan

well i feel like i want to go there, but i do know i shouldent trust my feelings, ive prayed about it , ive thought about it and i left it to god...i was on a final interview, and i left it to god, its just i cant stop thinking about it, i do really feel drawn to it...never the less almost everyone is against it..all say to me to take it easy, slow down, and i thinking about it...but i always thinking if we have more money and im working i will be gone 10 hours aday...if im at school we will have less money but more of a father at home....

My honest advice is to stay home with your family. I may be wrong, so take it with a grain of salt. But the father of the household needs to be supporting his family.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Your family needs you to help provide for them, spiritually & physically. If you went to Bible College, I do not see how that would help them much given your situation.

it seems like this is to much of a "happend by chanse" , or maybe i should wait one year.... mature in christ some more... and work...or should i just cast myself out in faith into this school?

You will not mature in Christ anymore in a Bible College than at your home. I mean that as in, you have the Word of God, you do not need to go there to get it.

Your first priority is to provide for your family. (Quite a big family at that!) Your family needs you to support them. Continue to pray and read His word for guidance.

Do not be deceived into thinking that if you go to this Bible College without a 100% firm conviction from God and without the ability to provide for your family that it will be "on faith," because it will not be, it would be "on folly."

So again, be careful and pray. The Devil wants you to get side-tracked from your responsibilties. Follow God above all else. He-- His Spirit, will direct you, if you let Him.

I will be praying for God's will in your life to be made manifest.

Mike, this is going to start a conversation or argument that is contrary to the topic at hand, and unedifying-- why'd you post such a thing? Sigh, you should've kept that to the PMs.

Sigh, you should've kept that to the PMs.

We will need to address this, look for a follow up to this matter.

This is a fellowship here. Our brother is respected for his longevity and experience. For the ability to keep everyone honest in these discussions some things need to be addressed. One is conduct. The other is accountability before each other.

Well I just didn't want any arguments happening like they've happened in a lot of other threads. :-o

i might have left out some details about the whole matter, im right now in a kind of rehabilitation program, they are now considering me for a workplace, i will not get full payment, but my economy will be better, but instead i will be away from home 10 hours a day instead one hour to work 8 hours of work then one hour back home, i know this is good in gods eyes, and that of course i should take care of my family, I dont belive in doing gods will if it effects another of gods wills in my life...i meen if i think something is the will of god yet it destroys hes will for me in my family, but now i have seekt an elderly mans advice i prayed whit him we talked about it and ive seen the dangers and so on, and about five minutes after we prayed i got a phonecall from the school saying i was accepted, i think by going to school i would have more time at home, but also less money.
i dont think i need the school in that sense you have to go to this kind of schools, i relise i dont NEED it, but i do think it could be good, and since im almost forced to do something i thought maybe its goood to do this, despite the lack of money,
but i trust god leads me, thanks again for your advices and prayers
