NBC also interviewed him this morning, I couldnt open up the url but it is on youtube, and I did see it....

"For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many" Matthew 24:5

He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.
Luke 21:8

I just watched this NBC interview:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=037HvQ1TyGM

I cannot believe my eyes and ears how stupid people can be to believe that this man is Christ Jesus. His words are very un-impressive and some of the things he says are ridicilous. I just cannot believe that 10,000's of people are committing to something as erronous as this! God save them from their delusion.

Here is more information on this cult:

I am trying to remember the exact quote but it goes something like this.

"when men cease to believe the Bible, the danger is not that they will believe nothing, but that they will believe anything." Chesterton quoted by C S Lewis.

He's not nearly as baffling as his followers are. Who are these people?

I got to tell you...I'm stumped :-(
I didn't think people could get that deceived. I mean, even claiming to be the Christ and there's no devil, and the Law of God and the Commandments don't have to be followed? I mean WHAT??? How do we pray for people like this? I couldn't even watch it all...It makes me sick
Do we pray...I'm starting to cry...This is obviously a very strong delusion!

Watched the video of the deceiver and the deceived. You could tell even the interviewer didn't buy into what he was saying.

By the way, if he is Jesus, he should be able to walk on water.

That was what my pastor told a woman who believed someone who said he was Jesus. He told her to go and tell the imposter to walk on water.
She did. When he could not, she no longer accepted what he said.

Too bad his followers will be following him to hell.

Well... after learning about Mormonism, and attempting to witness to them recently, I am not surprised anymore at the rediculously stupid things people will believe.

As P.T. Barnum once said: "There's a sucker born every minute"

That quote should be cannonized.

Can you say ... "Jim Jones"?

I really love when he says "There is no such thing as sin". Dude... turn on the news!

The same way Hitler won the hearts and minds of the German people in the 1930's. Germany was a disgraced nation after WWI, it was a world wide depression... and he turned Germany around, the economy was roaring, and they had military muscle again. National pride. Let the good times roll...

Thats what the anti-christ will do, only on a world-wide scale.

This man's followers obviously don't read their Bibles. That's who satan is first going to prey on. Those weak ones of the camp who walk at a distance from the tabernacle of God's presence. There's no protection out there and just like wolves, he will prey on the slow and weak.

I think this illustrates the great importance of being in the Word and having wisdom, understanding, and discernment.

This guy doesn't even twist Scripture! He's completely changing it! Saying that Jesus is going to return in another way than that which He ascended?? No sin??!!! I guess his followers have to throw out the New Testament and all the Scripture on our battle against sin. Probably not a far reach seeing that they've already thrown out their wits.

Lord, help these foolish ones who are deceived and give us who know You, the wisdom and strategy to snatch these little ones from the furnace!

Quite pathetic. I am not surprised that so many can be deceived in such a way, I'm just surprised at the audacity of this guy. He's got "antichrist" written all over him.

Matthew 24:3-31 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. ...

[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. ...

[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. [29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

HI one and all, i dont know how many of you are from the u.k. but ive just been watching richard and judy (real sad) and there was a lady on the show who claims to be a blood relative of Jesus Christ.

She claims that After Jesus death and resurrection there was a blood line created between Jesus and his wife (mary magdalane)

Maybe these two should get together seeing as they are related.

God bless ya all

This is indeed very sad - but it is exactly what the Bible warns about. But this kind (unorthodox false Christs) are much easier to spot than the more dangerous kind (orthodox false Christs). There is one coming who will be such a good counterfeit that if it were possible he would deceive even the elect. This one will be the embodiment of philosphical humanism and will deceive many with his "social gospel." I see and believe that the world is rapidly setting up for the acceptance of the antichrist. False prophets are already making major headways in the perpetuation of a false gospel of philosophical humanism that is fundamental to the core and is deceiving many.

Can you tell the difference between the false prophet and the true prophet if both are fundamental?

Test your discernment here: http://www.devcobaptist.org/templates/System/details.asp?id=31831&PID=372703

How did you do?

Never heard of Richard & Judy on the US side of the puddle, but this woman who claims to be a blood relative is from the US, and she has been making the rounds of the TV shows... basically hocking her book.

I dont for a minute believe that she really believes she is a descendant of Christ. I think she is trying to capitalize on the "Da Vinci Code" phenom. So she wrote a book knowing that the intrigue of it would mean a fast buck for her. And so she is raking in the cash.

Thats all that is.

Wow I seriously can't believe anyone would follow that guy. It's amazing how the message is exactly opposite to what Christ preached! He says there is no sin and no devil and that lady said she can love herself knowing God lives in her! I was watching the Megiddo series and all of these New Age people that supposedly channel great men of the past (actuallly demons) say the same thing: There is no sin and you are God! It's horrible that people will have to face God with a belief such as that!

After watching this disturbing clip, I could not help but think of the Vision that David Wilkerson had back in 1973, where he saw a Super Church rise up, and in this Super Church everyone would be accepted, as this false messiah has declared that there is no such a thing as sin or the devil. David also said that it would become more political than spiritual. While this Super Church is rising up, the true church made up of both Charismatic and Protestants would become more underground (not literally), but when the true Church does speak, their evangelistic work would be very powerful and effective.

This is very interesting.

there probably have been many of those kind of people around...but how can people follow?

When the time is RIPE and people want to be accepted by God without repentance, without turning away, deception lies at the door.

The rights we have in this country, the freedoms we have are destroying us.

When a government has the freedom to take out prayer out of the schools, there is something wrong. When a woman says that her body is her own seperate from her child/husband and she has the freedom to commit abortion, there is something wrong. When homosexuals have been granted the right to practice and have been made equal as married couples there is something wrong. And the list goes on and on.

This North America, especially Europe is ready for a major deception, it has to come, it must come, for nothing is new under the sun, and these things do happen from time to time. Kingdoms rise and fall, these things must come to pass, it's a part of this world.

'Too bad his followers will be following him to hell.'

No.

How can you say such a thing? It is not 'too bad' that these people are heading to an eternal punishment, it is not 'too bad' that these people will live in eternal pain and torment. It is a tragedy.

I felt hurt and upset whilst watching the video, I felt even worse upon reading that comment. I am not condemning you, I am not rebuking you, but please think about how you put things.

We need to be living on our knees. Prayer works, and our prayers can make a difference. These followers, even the man himself, they are not stupid. They are blind. They are gripped by Satan. They are corrupted. And we need to pray that their eyes are opened to the truth. We need to pray that God has mercy and saves them.

This a tragedy. Lets pray for change in some of these followers' lives. Hey, let's even pray for the man himself. Because prayer works. Let's not shrug it off and say, 'Well, too bad.' Let's look at it properly. Yet more lost and helpless souls are literally pouring into hell.

God help them. God help us to make a difference.

Yes! this really is sad but shows the reality of how people can fall for a charismatic denomically anointed man teaching a "soft" perverted gospel.

it is not 'too bad' that these people will live in eternal pain and torment. It is a tragedy.

Tradegy of tradegy's indeed! It seems like all the followers are glazed over materialism and greed for success. May their money perish with them, and may some be plucked out of the fire as a brand. God have mercy on those are lying in the evil one who has them captive to do His will.
