crushed and rebuilt

i need to state the following for my walk in christ.

for the last 6 years i have been living a lie filled with lust and destruction. i lived for affairs with other women while still married and took any opurtunity to fullfil the sexual desires in my heart. this is one area i never gave the lord and hid from everyone. well my father above saw me and he allowed me to reap what i have sown. the pain of this sorrow nearly destroyed me. but the lord came to me and urged me to give him 100% which i had not done before. with tears of repentance and a scream of pain from my heart it was done. the lords wonderful word flowed out of my mouth and healed my heart. i realize today that i am the adopted son of a wonderfull, righteous father who loves me and will guide me to a path of life no matter the cost.

my father in heaven i declare before all that i will walk in this world according to your word and i will represent you to those that do not know you and by your will all things will be done. i ask for a spirit of boldness, a spirit of love and wisdom to capture the oppressed hearts for you. i know i can do all things in christ and it is you lord that rules my land.

worship and glory to you lord

it is you lord that rules my land.
I understand this statement.

Thank you for your boldness in sharing. May the Lord also grant you patience to persevere through the trials ahead, and to trust Him when the word to you is 'Wait', rather than 'boldness'.

thankyou for your reply, my heart is very tearful at the moment. the enemy has come against me a few times and even though i felt that i had no more strength to survive i carried on and lasted the day. it is hard when i get tormented though and it is hard to turn to the lord and break the wall of thoughts that satan is throwing at me. but i know the lord is with me and he will help me to stand and then stand some more. i just need strength to keep reviving me. satan has not let up on me and although i deserve this pain for the wrongs i have down. i am not sure as to what degree or how long i must remain in this fire if that is what it is.

Crusader, I appreciated reading your testimony and honest admission of your struggles. It's said: Satan works in the dark - ie those areas of sin that are hidden or unconfessed.

It looks like he is losing ground in your life, thought he's trying hard to hang on to you. It seems that habits don't usually go away easily or all at once, though I can think of one important benefit: Your sense of weakness sure keeps you clinging to God - for dear life!

even though i felt that i had no more strength to survive i carried on and lasted the day.

Wow... Looks like it's one day at a time, for sure! May God continue to give you the strength to succeed - one day at a time.

"May he strengthen your heart, crusader, so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with his Holy Ones." 1 Thes. 3:13

thankyou diane

my heart is so broken at the moment your words of inspiration has brought tears to my eye's.
i am truely in an area of fire at the moment and although my flesh screams to run, by the pure grace of the lord "i am standing".

thoughts of suicide still plague my mind heavy and although it is the easy option i know i must kneel before my lord and trust in him. the lord has asked 100% from me which i had never given him before. i now have given him 100% but i feel unskilled and naked towards the world (spiritually).

i will continue to stand and walk.

i feel unskilled and naked towards the world (spiritually).

I can relate to this feeling … soooo vulnerable…. For me, I needed to experience this so that I could learn that God wanted a mouldable person far more than a fixed-up person. So he un-fixed me – augh! Mind you, I still feel un-fixed lots of times, but not so raw. It’s okay to be un-fixed.

A verse keeps coming to my mind as I pray for you:

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1, 2

There is nothing like digging into God’s word as an antidote for bad habits –which to a large extent are perpetuated by what I call stinkin’ thinkin’.

Let God transform your thinkin’ (MIND) and the body will come along.

Does that make any sense?

i will continue to stand and walk.

I Praise God for giving you a desire to persevere with him.

It's ok to be unfixed.
The thing on my 'mind' to share, is that the kind of mind and body habit you described, is linked and established into pathways not only of thinking, but literally connected in the brain. As you literally resist keeping them in mind and in action, these pathways will degenerate.

The Bible calls this 'mortification' - strangling 'it' to death - starving it of life-support. You do have to DO it, and I understand this feels like 'the fire'. But, it is a holy fire, and it is doing you good, and the Son of God is walking with you in it.

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
The renewing of your thought processes, will literally transform YOU, as you stand in God, day after day after day.

It will be far easier for you if you are busy doing other things, than simply trying to resist the old lifestyle. So, if you can, get actively involved in a physical commitment which removes the time-slots you misused in the past. This is practical, even if it is temporary. It will help, (if you need that help).

I don't mean any of this to sound negative. What I'm saying is, there is a breakthrough point, which if you resist and resist until you reach it, will not mean the end of all future testing, but, holding on until you feel released, is a physical challenge, which definitely can be won with God's help. Keep Him in the picture at all times, and the enemy will back off. I can testify to that in my own resisting.

hello all

thankyou so much for the scriptures and advice. my situation is better a little. God has driven me into the desert which is now very clear to me, every door that i have opened with out him, My father has closed and is saying to me that i must trust him 100%. this is hard to do but i know this will bring me closer and more dependant on him then i have ever been.

i have started an online bible course to help me get back on track with my lord and have moved into a little flat by my self to help me spend more time with God. God has smashed the flimsy house that i built on his rock but he will help me build a house that will not destroy in the storms. Praise to my father above.

i have one prayer

i do not have money to pay for the bond on my room due to financial problems until next week and i could loose my accomadation over it. but i believe that i am supose to be in this place as i have no where else to go. i pray so hard that God will open a door for me in this area over the next 18 hrs because i am getting stressed over it even though i know i must trust in him.

thank you all will wait earnestly for responses.

god bless

Perhaps you have something else of value which would be acceptable temporarily, until the money comes through?
