From my view point I would say that it is pretty well summed up in Christ's words to the 7 churches of Asia. The condition varies from church to church. Some have lost their first love, some have sold out, some are at the point of death, some are lukewarm, some are faithful and frail.
YOu will find all the elements for our portrait in Revelation Chs 2-3. Only Symrna is missing.
Less than 2% of people in the U.K attend church.
Soccer has a greater following than God.
It is in a deplorable condition. I have visited the church that John Wesley founded in Bristol.
You wouldn't know he had been there, but for the building.
For my part, personally, the U.K is in worse shape than the USA in some respects. In others, not so bad, but still bad.
Sorry, wish I had good news to give. When revival comes, I'll let you know. God bless.

This is inconceivable. Have you been to the USA lately?
Hi PaulWest,
Maybe the difference is that in the US it seems that most everybody says there a Christian. Even these secular rap stars ware a big cross. I personally think that the low spiritual condition in the UK is better than our "arrogant don't need to know anything because I already got it figured people." This is really sad but true. God will bring revival faster to the UK than to this country.
The following report came from Intercessors Network
PRAY FOR REVIVAL IN SCOTLAND
Revival in Scotland is much needed. Old Churches are mostly converted into things like bingo halls and much of the mainline denominations are just religious and traditional.
There are a few cells of born-again believers struggling to grow outside of denominational structures and the few well-organised spirit-filled assemblies are certainly not making the headway they’d like in reaching this mostly secular agnostic and atheistic population in a country that was once predominantly Christian.

my in-laws live in the u.k. and they can attest to there being a spirit of oppression at work there. even when i visited there as a young boy of 12 and 16, i always had a sense of not wanting to go live there because there was something about the place i could sense and i believe it to be that spirit of oppression. that being said and then factoring in the fact that there are far less professing Christians there and more here i think the U.K. is in worse shape. but then again, it is better to be cold that lukewarm and on this side of the pond, there is much lukewarmness...my mother-in-law can attest to much witchcraft going there also.
the bottom line though is that both nations are in desparate need of revival and we ought to be on our faces before God repenting and seeking
His face and revival/returning to the old paths.
Lord help us!AMEN.

My point precisely. The USA is innundated with two-fold children of hell and plagued with an epidemic of false conversions; the UK appears to be just cold and oppressed. The mere 2% professing Christian statistic over there bears testimony to this. Conversely, witness the over 80% of people here who claim to not only be saved, but filled with Spirit!
And now compare the crime rate, the rate of drug abuse, violent crimes, teenage pregnancies, etc. Pound for pound, and weighing in all the professed religiosity, I'd say America is more iniquitious and spiritually corrupt. It's our overbearing profession of godliness that tips the scales!
But I suppose this comparison is silly. We need to weep over both countries, for both hate the light and are going to hell.

indeed bro, this is the meat of the matter.
Hi guys,
Have any of the English viewers seen any growth with Calvary Chapels in the UK. I used to be in the movement and I heard about a CC pastor named, Brian Broderson. He said that they were planting CC churches in England. If you have seen them and know how they are doing, I would like to Know.
