Smashing the sacred cows of pseudo-christianity

N
NLONG Sep 8, 2006

The more I converse with other Christians, the more I am at odds with the spirit of this age. It seems most have bypassed the meat of the Word for the lukewarm porridge of heretical teachings. Oh I would that all would be as diligent and studious as the Bereans. What a blessed people! When men spoke they inclined themselves to the Truth of the Word to see IF there was a confirmation or corroboration between man and GOD. I am increasingly becoming more aware and verbal of the truth, correcting the many errors and mish-mash of ideas that, all-in-all don't add up to CHRIST and HIS WORD.

So, my question is: What are the sacred cows of pseudo-Christianity that need to be smashed into powder? Your thoughts and scriptural answers.

Here's some ideas that I thought up real quick.

Relativism vs. absolutism.
All roads lead to one God vs. one narrow road leads to one (narrow) God.
Programs vs. power.
Seclusion vs. preaching.
Self-indulgence vs. self-denial.

Thanks for your consideration and may we all be sober and vigilant to the apostasy that is coming and even now IS.

Those are some good idea's you thought up real quick!
As I was walking the other night the impact of Relativism is definetly a big one. "Everyone doing what is right in their own eye's" or the message both conciusly and subconsiously pumped from rock music,"Do what you want to do".

Like you said so well we bypass the meat of the word. I remember in the late 80's and very early 90's one of the buzz phrases was "Don't try and give them meat they'll choke on it". Well what happened was the meat was kept away faar to long.
Pass the bowl of porridge please. Good post Nlong, and God bless you. John

Going to "church" (building) vs. being the church.
I'm a ______ vs. I'm a servant of Jesus Christ.
Following man (doctrines of man) vs. Following Christ (doctrines of God)

Thanks for exposing the doctrine of accumulation
