What if we don't warn them of the coming judgment?

I was pondering the present thinking in Christianity that God is Love ONLY. Few seem to know or even have a sense of how God feels about sin.

This is my thought: If God is ALL (ONLY) love and NO judgment, then God winks at sin and it doesn't matter what we do or how we live. God wouldn't be concerned with holiness or righteousness. Beyond that, there is no need for repentence. I believe this false Gd has replaced the True God in modern "Christianity" today.

My feeling about judgement is not that we major or minor on whether he is love, but rather on the fact the he is father. IF preaching was centered more on the fact that he is a father who disciplines and will discipline those who do not repent with everalsting seperation, then we have clearer spectacles.

I appreciate your comments on this subject. You are 100% correct. Yes, God is love (1John 4:8), but our God is also a consuming fire (Heb. 12:29). It is the consuming fire side of God that is hardly ever disseminated. And yet the bible say of the precious Holy Ghost that when he is come (and he has come), he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Remember in the book of Acts how Paul stood before felix and his wife Drusilla. The bible says that, "And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled..." (Acts 24:25). This is the content of the true gospel message, and it is to be preached, and taught in this order and yet all we hear these days is the "God loves you" message. I thank God that he can love an wretch like me, but it wasn't a lack of love I needed to flee from; I needed to flee from the wrath to come. We in the 21st. century have lost site of the wrath and judgment of God, because we have lost site of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Maranatha.

Good thought. Post-modern 'Christianity' has omitted the judgment of God. They present God as a God of love only. Yes, God is love, 1 John 4v8 tells us that. However, He is also a God of judgment.

Romans 14v10 says...we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Again in 2 Cor 5v10 it says 'For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ...

God does tell us to warn the wicked.

Ezekiel 3v17 says we are watchmen. It goes on to tell us in verses 18-22 about warning both the wicked and the righteous, and the penalty for not doing so, for both them and us.

Revelation 21v8 says 'But the cowardly', that can also read fearful, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death'.

If God says without holiness, no one will see the Lord, then that is what He means.

Simply because people shrink God down to our level doesn't mean He has changed. He doesn't change. He is God! I like it that way. God bless.

Richard, we all need to have a greater burden for the hell-bound souls all around us. Just like ENID said below in Ezek. 3--if we warn them and they don't heed the blood is on their head; if we don't warn them the blood is on us.

Is it fear of man?
Unbelief?
Lack of love or personal conviction?

God break our hearts to weep and mourn and warn the lost!
