no longer will i pray out of fear. There are many problems in the world and in the local churches today. but i almost forgot one thing...THE WAR HAS BEEN WONTHE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS VICTORIOUSSATAN HAS BEEN DEFEATEDit is time to pray with authority. we will see something we have never seen before, because Christ reigns over the earth. authority over Satan is ours. it is time, now. no, not in a few years, now. not in a few months, now. take hold of it now.satan YOU HAVE BEEN DEFEATED

John the Baptist and the Fire of GodTaken from a sermonBy Leonard Ravenhill "Tell me how much time you spend alone with God and I will tell you how spiritual you are. Not how many meetings you go to. Not how many gifts you have. Not how many sermons you preach. Not how many records you’ve made.Tell me what time you spend alone with God...and I’ll tell you how spiritual you are."Start by spending one hour each day on your knees if you're really serious about being serious.

A man who is serious with the Holy One of Israel, who follows hard after the Lord, will not find many opportunities to demonstrate self-centeredness or haughtiness.A man who spends time with the Lord would rarely tell how much time he sets apart to be alone with the Father. He has always a good word to say about his Saviour and sometimes he has received a word from Him to be delivered in purity and by the power of the Holy Spirit.Lars W.

it is time, now. no, not in a few years, now. not in a few months, now. take hold of it now.I agree with you brother on this.. but let me clarify it just can't be a 'name and claim it' type of thing. We need to be serious with God if He is going to be serious with us and entrust His Spirit to us in abundance. Yes surely Christ has conquered and we have the victory through him against the world, flesh and devil. I think what Christian suggested is a good step:Start by spending one hour each day on your knees if you're really serious about being serious.-ChristianLet us be captivated with practicing the presence of the Lord, for thats where the victory is: where the Spirit of the Lord there is freedom."Tell me how much time you spend alone with God and I will tell you how spiritual you are. Not how many meetings you go to. Not how many gifts you have. Not how many sermons you preach. Not how many records you’ve made.Tell me what time you spend alone with God...and I’ll tell you how spiritual you are."-Leonard RavenhillThat pricks me to the heart. I have listened to this sermon by david wilkerson: Men of Another Sort and it really has stirred me to go all out for God. Our society and even churches have a pre-concieved notion of what a Christian should be like or a spirit-filled Chrsitian should be like. Lets go past all of these labels and seek Christ and just simply obey. You may start to look peculiar to the world or even to the church but its Gods will and way.. your life is not your own..

im sorry, there must have been a misunderstanding. from the amount of info i gave, i can understand. i just want to let you know where i'm coming from...- this post wasn't a new revelation or spur of a moment kind of thing. i was reading through the revival thread and saw that perhaps we were giving more credit to satan than it deserves. i just wanted to make sure that we were taking authority over the problems in the local churches.- :-D i have a passion for prayer, and im not saying that as if i am now spiritually complete or something of that sort. if i ever look forward to something, its worshiping God. - i'm not trying to use God or the name of Christ for my own purposes. i want to serve Christ. i am always growing and the things posted here by Christian and wrtbooks are true. ______________________________________i should check out Men of Another Sort.

But sometimes I wonder if this verse is true of many of us these days:1 Corinthians 3:2 - I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.
