Please pray for Andrea.

She has been suffering from a very serious depression for 4 years now.
It really seems there is no hope.
However, god made a way for me to talk to her..
i know depression so i have something to say.
Please pray that i can reach her heart somehow (she is NOT a christian).

thank you
daniel

I am praying for you both but I would like to comment on something...

i know depression so i have something to say.

Shouldn't this be, "I know Jesus so I have something to say"?

You see, when we look at others in the flesh we analyze with our human reasoning and tell ourselves we've been there so we understand what their going through and that qualifies us to say something. The problem is that that is just psychology which will reach no deeper than her soul. What she needs is spiritual healing.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
(2Co 5:16)
We have a spiritual knowledge now so that we don't have to just rely on our fleshly experience but rather on the Spirit. We must look at her in the spirit and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit minister to this woman.

Please, I'm not rebuking you. I'm glad you have a heart to reach out to this woman. As Art Katz has said, "that which seems good can actually be the enemy of that which is perfect" (listen to his sermon titled Be Ye Perfect). Let's not forget the grounds from which all ministry must spring forth. Much prayer required.

In Christ,

Ron

Hi,

i agree with what you said.
I never intended my own knowledge of depression to be the basis of what i share with her.

It's just, that i know what she is going through, i can connect to her feelings.
And she knows that i am not speaking of some hollow theorethical thing, she knows that i know what i am speaking about.
You understand?
Thats the position Jesus is in, he KNOWS what its like to be a man.
So he is touched with our afflictions.
