A TIME TO GET SERIOUS.
A good place to start would be for the compilers to quit flirting with the worldly sounding music in the background and throw it in the trash can where it belongs. Somewhere Mr. Tozer says that nowadays people do all sorts of things that past Christians would never do, but they put "for Jesus" on the end of it and think that makes everything ok. I guess he foresaw "Acid Rock" for Jesus. Come Judgement Day all of this Christian worldly sounding music will be shown up for what it really is - Compromise - and an unwillingness to make a clean break from the world. How much of modern Christian music still has the sound of Sodom? I don't know about you, but I don't want one shoestring from Sodom. Is throwing all of the worldly sounding music in the trash too big a price to pay for following Jesus? What this generation needs is a straight line, clean break Gospel. Everybody knows what a straight line is and what a clean break means, it means not wanting to think, look, act, sound, dress, walk, talk or be like the world because you know all of that is going to be turned into ashes in short order.
One clear message that I get from this compilation is that "holiness" and "no compromise" are very important to the Lord but that actually forsaking things with the stamp of the world on them must not be what the Lord is talking about. That Insidious devil.
Gen 19:30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar...
If a person will take a good long look at the fiery judgement coming on this evil spiritual kingdom we call the world, I believe that person wouldn't stay for long in their own personal Zoar, but would fear and want nothing to do with anything even in the vicinity of Sodom having already "seen" God's judgement through the eyes of faith.
