Things that bring true joy and triumph according to Paul's prayer lists

Paul prayed for us in:

[b]Ephesians 1:16-23[/b]

16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17[b]That[/b] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the [b]spirit of wisdom[/b] and revelation in the [b]knowledge of him[/b]:

18The [b]eyes of your understanding[/b] being enlightened; [b]that ye may know[/b] what is [b]the hope of his calling[/b], and what the [b]riches of the glory of his inheritance [/b]in the saints,

19And what is [b]the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward [/b]who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20Which he wrought [b]in Christ[/b], when he raised him from the dead, and [b]set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,[/b]

21[b]Far above[/b][b] ALL[/b] principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named,[b] not only in this world[/b], but also in that which is to come: [b]( even the heavenlies, isn't this wow?)[/b]

22And hath put [b]ALL things[/b] under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

[b]Colossians 1:9-28 [/b]

9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire

[b]that [/b]ye might be [b]filled[/b] with [b]the knowledge of his will [/b]in [b]ALL wisdom and spiritual understanding[/b];

10That ye might [b]walk worthy of the Lord unto ALL pleasing[/b], being [b]fruitful in every good work,[/b] and [b]increasing in the knowledge of God[/b];

11[b]Strengthened with ALL might[/b], according to his glorious power, unto [b]ALL patience and longsuffering with joyfulness[/b];

12[b]Giving thanks unto the Father[/b], which hath made us meet to be [b]partakers of the inheritance [/b]for the saints in light...

These things are for real, we can have them, Paul wanted us to have them, I believe that these are the 'secrets' to our joy and triumph in Christian living, let's cast our eyes away from all else.

Philippians 4v8 tells us whatever things are true, noble, just pure, etc, think on these things.

Well, you've given us not only food for thought but much to stive for, to seek after. And for each one of us to be filled with thanksgiving to our Lord for that which He promises in His word. God bless.

Leading to: Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

When He appears we are already with Him in Glory.

Giving us the ability to accomplish:
Colossians 3:10-13 And have put on the new man, (which is Christ) which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
