FEATURED SERMON: Believe His Word Powerfully by Don McClure

Believe His Word Powerfully by Don McClure
description: Don McClure shares his heart towards a great need for ministers and Christian believers to believe the word of God as it is. To believe something powerfully, to love someone passionately and to live expectantly. All God to impart to you a renewed desire to believe the word of God as it is.

Amen. The greatest signs and wonders for the world to see are Christians who really believe what they profess to believe.

I think that he probably is. I know that he was at Calvary Chapel Laguna for a little bit. He is kind of the Calvary "fix-it" guy. They always send him somewhere when there is a problem. He was an associate pastor at my church for a while.

I also heard he was discipled by Alan Redpath. Does anyone know if this is true?

No, he left there awhile ago and has established and built up 2 churches since then. His usually thing will be to start a church or help it grow and disciple people and then leave. Somewhat like Paul the Apostle. Right now he is just simply traveling and speaking. I am very glad that he was able to come to the pastors conference to speak and deliver these 2 vital messages.

I also heard he was discipled by Alan Redpath. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, as a youth he went to England for 1 year to be discipled by Alan Redpath. He speaks of this in his "true courage" sermon, its a great one to hear.

Don McClure will be among several speakers at the Calvary Chapel Men's Conference this weekend, October 7th, in Anaheim, CA. The conference will be webcast so you can watch it if you have a decent internet connection.

Also, there are a number of Calvary Chapels around the world that will be showing a high quality webcast of the conference at their churches, you may want to check around your town for some of the local Calvary Chapels and see if they will be offering this webcast at their facility.

In Christ,

Ron

Excellent sermon! He explains what the followers of Christ really believed and what they died for, and in contrast, we tend to cling to lesser causes. Even being a defender of the faith or taking a stand against the errors is not first and formost what we are called to.... though that may be a product....

Don McLure helps us understand what it really means to believe in Christ and love him. And THAT is the kind of faith that transforms one's life; and the world is waiting to see it. That kind of faith will change the world.

I am tuned in to the CC confrence. Don McClure has just finished speaking, and I am concerned that there does not seem to be a great sense of "urgency" in the messages. Am I missing something?

Blessings Greg

Any chance of a Calvary Chapel coming to Kamloops? The Lord stirring anyone's heart for such a thing?
It would be nice to find a God-centered church in my area. Please pray for the city of Kamloops brothers and sisters.
