The way in which a man lives in his home is vital. It
will not do to be a saint abroad--and a devil at home!
There are some of that kind. They are wonderfully sweet
at a prayer meeting, but they are dreadfully sour to their
wives and children. This will never do! Every genuine
believer should say, and mean it, 'I will walk within my
house with a perfect heart.' It is in the home that
we get the truest proof of godliness!

'What sort of a man is he?' said one to George Whitefield;
and Whitefield answered, 'I cannot say, for I never lived
with him.' That is the way to test a man--to live with him.

What we are at home is the real us.

No airs and graces, just plain old us!

God knows, He knows us. Psalm 139 tells us all about that.

God has no room for hypocrisy. He places the wicked and the hypocrite in the same boat. Or should I say fire?

Let us shun self deception and everything that God hates, please.

This is good. We had a thread once in which someone stated that a good indicator of how a person really is is how they treat children ~~[u]~~and[/u] animals. I'm also reminded of folk who talk with such vileness to others and unfriendliness and then pass through the door and kiss their husband or wife. I just have to say to myself, "Just save it." I think we need to be Christlike in every setting we find ourselves. How about the Restraunt? You may be surprised to know that Christians in many cases have the worst of reputations for Sunday goings to lunch and dinner. Very DEMANDING and yet leave little or no tip for the waitress. I have heard many say that they hated to work Sundays'; it was the worst day of all. What about money issues? What about when we are being ripped off or done wrong in business? We get too little change back or were accidentally over charged? Does the 'real' spirit come out? Do we maintain a Christlike spirit or do we get rude? What about when a telemarketing person calls? Are we rude to them? So on and so forth.
