The past 10 days have been glorious days of Kingdom demonstration on the streets of inner city Detroit, and just a small taste of what’s to come. Praise the Lord! He is moving amongst His remnant, and will continue to transform His people from glory to glory as this current age comes to a rapid and climactic close. Brothers and sisters, I just want to share a few brief testimonies from this past week and urge you to seek the face of God in holy desperation to do the same everywhere, and to increase this work as well across the globe that Christ may get the glory He deserves.
The following testimonies are from the streets of Detroit among our homeless outreach this past week. [b]MAY GOD ALONE GET THE GLORY.
***Bobby was a man suffering from severe arthritis. His wrists and hands were swollen intensely so that he couldn’t even work or move them properly. Brother Patrick prayed over him for healing, and within a few days the swelling went down a lot; in fact, almost completely. All that was left was a little swelling on his wrist. Bobby testified that it was miraculous, and that he finally was able to work for the first time in three months! We laid hands on him again, rebuking the arthritis in the name of Jesus, and just a few days later when we saw him again, he said it’s gone! Hallelujah! The great thing is that this is the time of year that his arthritis is usually the worst, as the warm days and cold nights cause it to flare up more than usual. But praise the risen Savior that no infirmity can stand in His resurrection power!
***Diane is also a regular in the park where we usually minister. She’s been totally depressed and without hope. Two weekends ago, she came up to us weeping. Patrick and his wife comforted her, asking her “what’s the matter?” She said she’s tired, and she was totally depressed and crying. She wanted us to take her to the Crisis Relief Center. We gathered around her and prayed for her in the name of Jesus. Waves of power shot into her body. Then she left and went into her apartment across the street. She said she would be right back out so we could take her to the Center, but she never came back out. It turns out, that she was in there vomiting up all the drugs and filth she’d been consuming as the power of God forced that wickedness out. She came up to us the next time we went out, and testified that many have prayed for her before, but nothing happened. But she said “There’s power in your prayers”. No, it isn’t our prayers, it’s the glorious name of Jesus, praise God! She testified that she’s been totally changed and freed from depression, and she’s telling everybody about the power of God that changed her and what happened! She kept saying, “I can’t believe it!” over and over again! She didn’t need to go to the Crisis Relief CENTER, oh no! She needed a real encounter with the Crisis relief SAVIOR!!! Glory to Jesus! He alone can set us free from the bondage of the devil, Hallelujah! When the light of Christ shines, the darkness of the devil has to flee!
***There’s a section of Detroit that is an underground public concert center, and many homeless people go there to escape the chilling winds of the night. It’s such a sad sight to see them suffering so. A group of us went down there to minister to these precious souls. There, we set up our food for distribution, and the Lord blessed me with unction to preach the Gospel. An obvious conviction of sin went forth and led to some great personal ministry. Then a man named Joseph asked for prayer. He was suffering from Lymph node cancer and needed the healing touch of Christ to set him free. We laid hands on him in Jesus’ name, prayed for the power of God to touch him, and rebuked the affliction in the name of Jesus. He said waves of power shot through his body, and we ministered the Gospel to him. While we were talking, he said he had to go sit down because everything inside of him was jumping around and moving. Being a Vietnam veteran, he has access to a doctor, and a few days later he was due for a check up on his cancer. O glory, praise Jesus, he went to the doctor, they did the tests, and came back saying that there is no sign whatsoever of cancer! Joseph sat and waited in the park for us the next weekend to tell us the testimony and give glory to Jesus! That devilish and deathly cancer was incinerated to oblivion by the white hot flame of the fire of God!!!
*Brother Patrick does Day Care, watching children for a living. He had a new kid who was absolutely rotten. This little boy would kick and scream in wicked rebellion against his parents and everybody else, and was just pure demonically rotten all the time. So Patrick took the boy into a back room, and prayed for his deliverance, and praise Jesus, the demon left and the boy got set free! The boy went back home, and later his mother called Patrick and said she’s got a new kid! Patrick and his wife got to share the Gospel with her and she was in tears over what happened. The boy is still free and is as joyful as any other little boy, now obeying his parents and authority, and playing with the other kids with no problem! And it’s been a week, he’s still whole; a totally different person, testified by his very own parents! Praise the name of the Lord!
***Yesterday, a young man came up to Patrick and I while we were in the park. He wanted prayer. He said he’s got Schizophrenia and hears voices in his head. He said he wants to serve the Lord, but every time he tries to read his Bible or pray the voices in his head speak wicked thoughts to him and tempt him to sexual perversion. We prayed for him, and rebuked these demons in the name of Jesus and commanded them out. The young man shook and jolted during the prayer, then when we were done, laughed for joy and gave glory to God. He said that he feels totally different and that the voices are gone! Praise the Lord!
During the past week, the Lord has been good. We’ve preached the Gospel of victory and power over sin and lifted up the Savior who destroys the works of the devil. And the Lord has been faithful, confirming His word with signs following. This is just a small taste of what’s to come. Praise God, the power of conviction went forth as not a few were in tears, lives were touched by the glory of God, and men were set free from the bondage of the devil.
Saints, now is the time to rise up and walk in Scriptural holiness and the power of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the One who said, [i]“The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”[i]“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” [i]our names are written in Heaven!
Also as a side note, we’re in desperate need of winter clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags. Last summer we ministered to a man who the previous winter got frostbite, and as a result had to have his toes amputated. What a tragedy as the so-called “Church” sits at ease in Zion, increased with goods, and slumbers in the lap of luxury! Saints, we can’t be passive any longer! We have to wage war against this terrible poverty, depression, sickness & disease, and most of all, the sin that holds the souls of men in bondage to the powers of Hell. We feed these precious people with hot food, and cloth and blanket them the best we can to show the love of Christ and meet their physical needs, and most of all, preach the pure and uncompromised Gospel to the glory of God to meet their spiritual and eternal needs. The Gospel is our focus, not the material need, and we never go out there without proclaiming the Word of the Lord. We’ve seen many, many souls set free and born again by the power of God, and many leave the homeless community to new jobs and new lives of freedom from sin. I believe this is just a taste of what the Lord wants to do across this nation, but the time is short. If anybody feels a burden to help out with these needs for “the least of these”, please contact me. We’re also in desperate need of more prayer warriors to lift us up before the Throne regularly and especially on the weekends, so if you feel a burden for that you can contact me as well and I can give you more details.
May no man get any glory from these testimonies, but may the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering! May God alone get the glory! And may this provoke the saints to holy jealousy to see God move in their midst everywhere. Amen.
