Dont' Abort Your "Baby"

Don't Abort Your "Baby" Feb.3 2004Many of you, including myself, have been feeling as if God is "birthing" something in you. Maybe it's been a long time that you've been waiting, maybe not. You know in your heart that God is developing a plan, a new "something" for your life and you have had all the pregnancy signs to show it. The anxiousness, the nervous waiting, the preparation. Maybe it was a promise or a dream that He gave you, that you know you are going to give birth to this baby one day. Maybe you've already given birth to some "babies" (a type of ministry, a new believer, a way of ministering to others, etc...) and God is planning to have you birth more. The Lord has given me several dreams that I have been pregnant and preparing for a baby. Sometimes it was about twins, sometimes it was about getting a "new car seat" for this new baby, and not to use the old one I already have. (A new way of carrying or toting the "baby" around/ a car seat belongs in a car- which many times represents some type of ministry.) So, I have been patiently- or not so patiently- waiting for what ever this "new something" is. I get tired of waiting, as I'm sure many of you do too. I want so badly for something to happen. So much so, that I want to take it into my own hands and 'do" something- anything- just so I won't be waiting. A few months ago, since it seems like God was taking His own sweet time with me, I decided to put things on hold and go back a few steps from where I've come from on this journey. I deliberately sinned. I knew it was wrong and it was something that God had already dealt with me about. I "rationalized"- since He was taking so long, that maybe He wouldn't notice or care that I step back a few paces- I was His child still and He was still birthing something in me- so I thought. Let me tell you this: DELIBERATE SIN CAN ABORT YOUR BABY. After about 3 days of my decision to "sin" and continue in it, the Lord gave me a dream that was a very obvious message. I dreamed that my husband came up to me and said "I know what "that" is. ("that" is the thing I sinned with, which I won't mention) He continued-"That is RU486!". End of dream. I really had wondered how long it might be before the Lord gave me a dream about the "sin". I was hoping He was not going to notice. Well, I was wrong and He was dead serious. I knew right away that I was on the verge of aborting a baby that He had been preparing in me. I had come this far and I was about to throw it all away- because i was impatient, because I was selfish, and I was going against His authority which told me that I could not go back to my sin- like a dog goes back to his own vomit. We should never think we have "arrived" at such a place that He will not notice, or sweep our sins under the rug because we're "special". I am not refering to us having to be absolutely perfect and not one sin can be allowed. I am talking about "deliberate sin". The kind where we know ahead of time it is wrong- but we choose to be our own boss, our own God, and do it anyway- and many times plan to continue to walk in it. Can you imagine how many other babies have been aborted because of deliberate sin in someone's life. Sometimes we get to a point and we forget that, not only does God loves us, but that He is all authority and He will not allow us to butt heads with Him. If we choose do so, there are always consequences. If we are to have a pure, healthy baby- the mothers should be pure and healthy too. Can you imagine what a "new thing'- a new baby, might turn out to be if it has not been birthed through a pure and healthy vessel--not the baby that God intended. It would be tainted and impure. Luckily, God chooses to abort many of them instead. It is better for them not to exhist then to have a bunch of false or tainted ministries, believers,(or whatever that baby was going to be). It would be such a shame to have pressed through all of this time, been through preparation and travail- to have our baby aborted. As a fellow-laborer, I know that there are no short cuts, there is no room for selfishness, there is no room for impatience, there is no room for deliberate sin (or disobedience). We must not get side-tracked or lose our focus. We must look straight ahead, pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, and press on on this journey of "growth" and "waiting". One day we will look back and be so glad we did. We will finally be able to see our "baby" and be confident that God is the "Father" and not "self". The Lord will reward our patience, travail, and obedience. Grace, peace, and joy to you!!! ~Chanin

Great and needed message, Chanin (moreofHim). One thing...RU486 is that abortion pill that's ended up killing a bunch of people, right?

Mary, yes, it's the "abortion pill". I really wasn't sure about it until after I had the dream and looked it up. I thought maybe it was the "morning after pill". God works in mysterious ways- but soooo neat!Everytime He does this to me, all I can say is "you just won't let up on me, will You? You won't let me get away with one single thing. Everyone else seems to be able to go right ahead and do whatever they want and you don't bother them. whine, whine, whine...."A few hours later, I am grateful and feel sheltered by Him. That article that i posted awhile back- "Other may but you Cannot"- has become one of my best friends. :-) In Him, Chanin
