Why do christians release such alot or rubbish when a film comes out

I have been working at the christian bookshop and I hate the pile of junk you get when a christian film comes out!!
I dont watch films so I can comment on this!!

I wonder if they released t-shirts, devotional books, bible study guides and such for [b]To End All Wars[/b]... I'm just kidding, check it out if you haven't seen it.

I guess Christians are materialistic just like everyone else, and the people in the 'Christian' merchandising companies are meeting that need. Oh to be different than the world~

[b]To End All Wars[/b] was good. They could have lost a bit of weight, the actors, before they decided to imitate POWs. Good film, though.

(Trivia: The guy who directed it is the son of Loren Cunningham, founder of YWAM, the missions organization I work for)

In any case, what would we do without study companions, t-shirts, sound-tracks, invitations to speaking events, stickers, etc.? I'm not sure we could call ourselves evangelicals anymore; it's hard to imagine Jesus and the Apostles using a different message to disseminate the Gospel. Not a day goes by without me thanking the good Lord for my [i][b]the Champion[/b][/i] bedspread which brought me full understanding of grace.

Only kidding, of course. I think the real reason is that we're a huge market to the business world, so they jump on films for opportunities to reproduce related junk, thinking it 'speaks our language,' or something like that.
