That is true! It reminds me of something my pastor says from time to time.
"Two things you will never hear a Christian say 1) Don't judge me. 2) Jesus drank."
This issue of Old Paths is so good. Every word is anointed.
"We Christians are debtors to all men at all times in all places, but we are [b]so smug[b]Our condemnation is that we know how to live better than we are living.
If you haven't read this issue yet, take the time to read it. It's powerful.
It is good to know that even our dissatisfaction can be an encouragement when it drives us to cry out to God. Satisfied people don't tend to beat upon the gates of heaven with desperate prayers.
I found these "Old Paths" yesterday and so enjoy reading them. My heart is both kindled and saddened when I read of God's awesomeness and willingness to work but see where we are as a nation.
And then to read Greg's article on "Prayer That Moves God,"... Well, if this edition of Old Paths and that article doesn't drive you to your knees, then perhaps nothing will.
