Prayer request for dying spiritualist

J

May I request the following prayer on behalf of a dear sister in the Lord please:

I became a Born Again Christian four years ago and have witnessed to my mother on a couple of occasions these past fifteen months (after a 'separation' of 12 years.) I also witnessed to her again at her hospital bedside this week, knowing her time in this life is very short.

My mother was still 'entertaining' spiritualism right up until her hospitalisation in the form of spiritual healing from a member of the local spiritualist church. She truly believes this is from God, even though I have given her many scriptural verses to the contrary, but she refuses to denounce spiritualism.

Any further witnessing on my part only leads to more condemnation for her. Please may I ask for your prayers for my mother Ellen, in her acknowledging spiritualism to be demonic, a falsehood, which will lead her to an eternal Hell.

Yours, in His name,

Vivien

Father,
Deliver and set free.
May Your Truth and Your Word prevail,
In Jesus Name.

Lord Jesus, may Vivien's mother come know that Yours is the only name under heaven by which she can be saved. Amen.

My mother Ellen died at 5.30 p.m. today. It still hasn't sunk in and this is why I am writing to you whilst I am able to. My sister (who has dabbled with Ouija boards and tarot cards in the past) and my atheist brother and I were with her when she died. My brother and I returned home for an hour, but no sooner had I entered my house my sister rang for us both to get back to the hospital quickly. We did not expect her to die so soon. I saw my mother about two or three minutes before she died.

This is the first loss in our family. For two hours we sat by her bedside and I listened to my brother and sister, (who have both been witnessed to these past twelve months-to no avail) talking about magnetic fields, electrical forces, angels and goodness knows what else as regards the whereabouts of my mothers "spirit.”

I sat and listened, feeling worlds apart (of which I am) making no comment. Once or twice I lowered my head and tried to pray, but I could not. I'm not really feeling anything at the moment and certainly not thinking anything about my mother's soul.

My sister said something strange that I would like to relate. Apparently (yesterday or the day before) my mother sat bolt upright in bed absolutely petrified, with her arms flung out and said something about somebody coming to get her. She also mentioned she saw two women in black walking towards her. My sister assured her it was most probably her two sisters (one died three years ago, the other died three weeks ago.)

Knowing of my mother's involvement with spiritualism I sat with dreadful numbness hearing this. As I write now my heart is starting to ache and I cannot stop the tears. What is so tragic is that my mother thought she was going to Heaven. I don't believe she was saved.

The hardest thing to get through in the coming week is the funeral for some of her spiritualist friends will undoubtedly be there. I am already armed with material for them.

I am so grateful to have leaped from old fashioned 'snail mail' to e- mail these past three weeks and have read some of the prayer requests. It is so heart warming to know that many brothers and sisters have been praying for my mother Ellen and for me and this has been such a comfort.

I do so thank each and every one for their prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Vivien

May I once again petition prayers on behalf of Vivien, as she seeks strength and guidance, to make a full gospel presentation at her mothers funeral next week.

Thank you.
