Mary and prayer

Noting over time that many if not all Christian believers pray or request prayer from and for fellow Christians the world over. Every minute someone is praying (interceding)for others and this is a calling that is a Ministry.That some pray asking Mary the Mother of God to intercede for them cannot surely be offensive to Our God. Honour thy father and thy mother is a command and i am certain that Jesus Christ never ever instructed us not to Honour His Mother Mary as He did and does.Perhaps it would be well to consider that He may never condemn such prayer, but may well condemn the hate from those who hate such prayer.God Bless to all.

For Mary to hear millions of Catholic prayers would have to make her Omniscient and Omnipresent both attributes which belong to God ALONE.

Jesus taught that we should address our prayers to our Father and not to Mary.

Rest assured friend that God does condemn such prayer.

First Commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me!

Second commandment: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image...neither shalt thou bow down thyself to them...

Of course the Catholic church has rid itself of the second commandment for obvious reasons.

Snowdrop, forbidding prayer to Mary is not dishonoring, but rather honoring of her, even as she honors her God and Savior Jesus! Jesus created Mary, not vise versa. Mary is a devout Hebrew women and she does well to instruct you out of the law of her God! It is surely a grief and shame for you or any one to pray to her or any other saint, and the same goes for angels. Communication with the dead, even dead saints, is a black art called necromancy. It is an abomination to God! If anyone was caught practicing it, they were to be stoned to death! Read the word of God snowdrop, and forsake the traditions of men passed on to you, those traditions nullify the commandments of God! Concerning necromancy, read Deuteronomy 18:10-12. This is not a very good argument. Clearly the statues, and the prayers that are said to them, go far beyond what anyone would do in asking a brother or sister to intercede.

Is there one example from the Bible of someone seeking intercession from a deceased person? I for one will ask those whom I know can hear me to join me in prayer.:-)

Prayer to anybody but God is ABSOLUTELY sinful.
