On top of the 'agonizing' prayer and the healings on the streets
and many other powerful things - the recent gathering in Pittsburgh
was a pivotal moment in other ways also. Two young men from
Detroit brought a word to the Conference that bore witness with
nearly everyone present. It was a word about a "REVIVAL ARMY"
and that the time for it is NOW. All I could say was 'Amen!'

They not only brought this word to the group - they also brought
it to me personally. Now, I guess this may be hard to understand,
but I have carried a vision for such an army going back DECADES.
-A 'street' army like the early Salvation Army. -An army of holy
warriors for Jesus - working miracles and preaching repentance
on the streets. -A 'youth' army of daring radicals - ministering
to the prostitutes and the homeless and the gang members -
going to the places where "nice" people won't go.

To be honest, I had almost given up hope that I would ever see
such a thing. But there is something stirring right now. -A hunger
and a desperation and an expectancy. I heard it in the 'agonizing
prayer' at Pittsburgh. I heard it last Friday night in our Conference
Call Prayer meeting. All over the nation something is stirring. For
me personally, Pittsburgh was the turning point. I believe it is time
to FIGHT for this generation of youth before all is lost.

It seems that the Revival Army is to be nationwide in the USA
from the beginning. Leaders already involved include:- Darren
Smith (Texas), Rick Walth (-'Katrina base' - soon to be in Detroit),
Randy Benham (Oregon), Giancarlo and his young team of prayer-
warriors (Los Angeles), Patrick Ersig & Josef Urban (Detroit), and
myself (-the Strom family is soon to be based in Phoenix for four
months by the leading of the Lord). We have groups in Nebraska,
Ohio and North Carolina already strongly interested in joining. I
believe there will be many more.

This whole thing is to be built around the TRUE GOSPEL and
ministering to the POOR in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT - with
HEALINGS and DELIVERANCE on the streets.

Here are the qualities you need to become part of this-
Basically what you need is a ZEAL and a HUNGER and a radical
fire for the Lord. If you are YOUNG, get in touch with us. (-Much
of this is to be a 'Youth' Army - in fact it already is). If you are the
leader of a STREET TEAM, get in touch with us. If you move
powerfully in healing, miracles or deliverance - get in touch with us.
(-There are many youth who need to be trained in these things).

Of course we will need Intercessors and helpers of every kind.
-This is to be an ALL-AGES campaign and no-one is to be left out.
But right now we need to build the initial infrastructure around
already-existing Street-teams and young people and those who
walk in a 'miracle' anointing. We have to start with this as a
base and build from there. More and more will be involved as
this army grows. -But we desperately need everyone's PRAYERS
right now.

So this email is a "trumpet call". We are asking you to respond.
The 'first wave' that we need to hear from are the YOUTH and the
STREET TEAMS and those with a MIRACLE ANOINTING.

If you want, you can simply hang out and PRAY with us for awhile.
(-We hold our Revival Army prayer meetings on Wednesdays -
ie. TONIGHT - via phone hookup. It is powerful. Join us and pray
with young people and street teams from all over the country).

details of these prayer meetings and other information to you.

And again I ask the wider Body - please bathe this whole thing in
PRAYER if you can. -This is so crucial.

i'm 32. is that too old? doesn't God use anyone who is totally surrendered to Him, no matter what age?

i believe it will be more than just the youth that will be involved in this army. but, i do believe that many youth will be encouraged by many leaders that are like joshua and caleb. leaders that God have put thru the fire, have gone thru intense heat by others, especially the religouse. just like how joshua and caleb were peresecuted by their own people because their faith and trust in God. who have been tested and found faithful. God, have prepared these leaders to take the next generation into "the promise land".

about the revival army. God gave me an open vision about a strong army for the Lord. when i say open vision, i mean i saw the vision clearly with open eyes. it was not in my head or heart, but it was a real vision.

i was given this vision after coming home with a heavy heart. filled with much grief at the state of the church. i thought that this large fellowship that i was in was going to be the one that God uses for revival because He has shown me many encouraging dreams in the past, and had me speak much hard words to them, and so i thought the dreams was toward this church, and i continue to hope that they would repent, and revival would take place. but, God later showed me a dream that He was going to drive out many people and leaders from this fellowship (and later He did), so i was grieved thinking where is the promise of a revival You have shown me and made me believe that one was coming?! as i layed down with much heaviness and deep grief in heart, God open my eyes and encourage me towards the future.

in my vision, i saw an army, dressed like real soldiers running with their weapons in hand. they were ready for war, and had no fear. as i saw the soldiers running, i also saw across from the soldiers was a table filled with all kinds of deliciouse food, and behind the table were dark spirits. they were trying to tempt the soldiers with food. make them stop to eat, and forget about the war. one soldier did stop. he came over to look at what was on the table. he realize in order to take some of the food he had to put down his weapons. he looked up at the spirits and told them no and ran back with his group towards the battlefield.

the soldiers represent God's army. the table of food represent the lust of the world and dark spirit will try to use these things to tempt this army of God, but will not be able to win because this army is radically devoted to God!

You are right. Zealots of any age are in!
And 32 years is certainly not too old anyhow. But we are looking for people who are actually DOING this stuff - or strongly led to do so. -That is the main thing.

And yes - we are a "holiness" movement - the same
as the early Salvation Army of 120 years ago.

The word the Lord has given me the past 6 months is... ARISE!! It's time, not doubt!! Time to be who God has called us to be. You can feel it in the air. The tension, the moaning and groaning in the Earth. In the people all around us. They may not say it, but they are waiting for the church of Christ to extend her hand to a sick, dying, captive generation. We are the only hope this dying world has!!!!

The Lord gave me a similiar vision one night while praying for the church and basically just where to go. The Lord said "go where my heart is... I'm already there." When He spoke I saw homeless people, drug addicts and prostitutes in the city I grew up in. I found a "street church" there and have been attending ever since.

Does anyone remember the singer Carmen?? There is an old song from like 1990. I think it's called "The only hope for America is Jesus." I've heard it before and thought it was good, but when I listened to it the other day it was like the Lord was saying "I wrote this song for today." I can't explain it exactly, but it stirred me in a way that it never did before. I felt such a burden, but at the same time such a strong passion. I know this might sound crazy, but it was like a battle cry when I heard this time. I suggest if anyone get a chance to listen to it. I'd be interested to hear if it had the same affect on anyone else.

I truly believe the Lord is raising up a army of sold out soldiers of the cross who walk in holiness and preach holiness and repentance! Praise the Lord!!!

I believe it is vain to try and organize a move of God and this next move of God no one will have their name on it. If there is to be a "army" raised it must be disciplined and have regement and rules such as the salvation army. Or the methodist movment. I know brother Andrew's heart is good and this desire is good but I do not see any "substance" in this as of yet. What would I be joining if I joined?

I'm not very wise concerning revivals but I seem to think the only revival I can truely take part in is the one inside of me. Then I have to ask myself, is there one in me?

Fires start with one flame willing to share with another. Also, if you want to have a good fire you have to have dead wood. Are you dead?
