Every sanctified man and woman enters a school, not simply a holiness school but a holy school. Thirty-two years ago I entered this holy school at that time, though, I had no idea what everything that was happening really meant.’

My heart longs for perfect holiness.’ ‘And this prayer was answered sooner than he had expected, for on that very day the Lord whom he sought came suddenly to His temple (Malachi 3:1), and a covenant was sealed between Hudson Taylor and his God. It was then when he besought God to restore him to full communion, and promised, to quote his own words, ‘If God would only save me completely, then I would do anything in his cause that He might direct’, that God took him at his word and visited him with His salvation. ‘Never shall I forget’, to quote again his words already recorded, ‘the feeling that came over me then. Words can never describe it. I felt I was in the presence of God, entering into covenant with the Almighty. I felt as though I wished to withdraw my promise but could not.
