Abraham, my Friend... now in Podcasts.

It is amazing to think that over 3 years have passed since Greg asked me to contribute a weekly devotional column. We did a series of meditations on the life of Abraham. I am grateful to the Lord that many were encouraged by these thoughts and I have wanted to make them available to more.

I have just begun to create podcasts of each of the postings.

What are podcasts? Well, in effect, podcasts are like a radio programme that you can listen to at your own convenience of time and place. Secondly, you can subscribe, freely, to a podcast and automatically pick up the next 'programme' in the series when it becomes available.

So, if you use an iPod or iTunes, its a single decision and then you just sit back and the guy hidden in the boiler-room does all the work. Even if you don't use iTunes you can still listen to them on your computer or mp3 player.

The place to start is Biblebase Podcasts, click the word 'Podcasts' on the topline menu and then just follow the intstructions.

That is awesome brother. I would recommend that everyone listen and follow along with this series. I have very much enjoyed listening to Ron's messages. Abraham My Friend has blessed me perhaps to the greatest extent.

Often folk tell me that we need to teach folk how to walk with God. I am not saying that Abraham My Friend will do that, but there is no doubt that God will use this work to lead many to a deeper revelation and communion with God. I know of no greater devotional in terms of the great picture of the Gospel. I am excited that Ron has undertaken this painstaking task to put this blessed devotional in audio form.

Brother,

This is excellent with your permission I would like to add these to sermonindex.net as they are completed. And I will link to them in the main thread of these devotionals.

Greg
You're more than welcome. Thank you for the 'door of utterance' to share these things with others and thanks again for your good fellowship in the gospel.

Yes, this is highly recommended indeed. I still remember the many times I had to stop reading and just worship the Lord and rejoice like Paul when he said, "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!"

I noticed the second podcast is now available. For those who would enjoy a short and powerful message these are only 12 minutes long each. Great material to meditate on throughout the day.

Just wanted to remind folk of this wonderful podcast series. As it stands there are 8 entries of the over 60 part series. They are wonderful to listen to a few times a day as time permits.

I've noticed it helpful to follow along with the transcript. This is good for anything you are listening to that you have the transcript. I enjoy doing this with the Bible on CD.

Many times when I only have audio with nothing to focus my eyes on, I've noticed that my attention span is a lot less.
