I have recently read some comments on our president in this forum.
God brought me up short when Pres. Clinton was in office and didn't make the office very pretty. Rick Joyner said if were had prayed for him before the events happened and lifted him up the way the bible teaches we should things might have turned out a lot different.
Nobody is in office unless God allows them to be and if He allows it He has a purpose in them being there. We would do well to pray for them rather than tear them down with our words. I was convicted of this very thing.
1Ti 2:1 ¶ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Ti 2:3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Pro 21:1 The king's heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
We have a responsibility to pray for those in leadership. Their job sure isn't easy.
