I would like to share more of the many witness encounters that I have experienced last year and now 2007, to try and encourage those that are strong and mature in the faith, to also take up the Great Commission and try and reach lost souls for the Lord Jesus Christ, because 150,000 people die EVERYDAY, that's 7,000 an hour!

Arrived in town this morning at usual time. Wasn't long before a Roman Catholic gentleman noticed our board. I then had a good 15 min chat with him and of course we went back and forth.
I told him how I decided that either the Bible is the final authority or the church is. The two are totally irreconcilable. He looked puzzled when I said this. I told him that too many doctrines that Rome teach are NOT found in Scripture. Like what, he asked. Well, Mary, I said. What's wrong with Mary?, he said. I took him to 1 Tim. 2:5. He took me to John 19:26,27. He then read in to this text how Mary was on her knees praying to God the Father during Jesus' crucifixion, like she does today for all us poor sinners. No, that's wrong, I told him. You're reading into the text.
Next, we moved on to what his church teach about Salvation. He was shocked to hear me tell him, that according to his churches catechism from 1994 http://www.excatholicsforchrist.com/...o%20Heaven.htm how Muslims and Jews who do NOT believe in Jesus can be saved. No, that's wrong, he said. Too right, its wrong, I told him but your church teaches this. When was the last time you read your Bible, I asked him? He didn't really answer. Do you read it everyday, I asked? No, he didn't. How about every other day? No, he replied. However, he seemed more interested in my quoting him his beloved catechism, even though I had tried to get him to check Luke 1:47 and 1 John 5:13, concerning eternal security of the believer and Mary's sinfulness. I told him I'd be in the same spot next week, at the same time, but this time with a copy of his catechism (I will probably have to photo-copy the page in question to show him I'm not lying about their deficient plan of Salvation, because it run to several hundred pages.)
Finally, he offered to pray for me, for apparently I "don't know Jesus." I told him not to pray for me but to pray for himself, because he's the one is darkness (Acts 26:18.) This went back and forth a few more times. I concluded our chat (on good terms) with 1 Pet. 2:2, something that Protestants are equally as guilty of as Catholics, and that as he stood today (trusting his church/his good works over the Bible, Rom. 10:1-4.) he'd go straight to Hell when he died.
