Audio quality

Some of the quality of the audio on some sermons is a bit quiet. For example, I just listened to Len Ravenhill on 1 Corinthians 13. There are 2 parts to this. Part 1 is fine. Part 2? I had to have the volume on full just to hear this. It is so quiet. I have just tried to down load Paul Ravenhill on Jacob and Esau. This one is so quiet you can't here it at all. Most dissappointing. I don't know what, if anything, can be done. Certainly for me it is a waste of time downloading something I can't hear. My wife has a hearing problem and she was dissappointed.

Due to the age of some of the recordings, and the systems used to record them originally, some messages lose some quality.
However with over 10,000 messages to choose from, you will find very few problems with the vast majority of them.

You can download audio editing software for free here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

This isn't high quality software by any means, but I have used it some (not yet for this purpose though) and it might do the trick for you. Try opening your sermon, "Edit"-->"Select all"-->"effect"-->"amplify"

You may also have to try and remove hiss by hilighting a section of noise, "Effect"-->"Noise Removal"-->"Get Noise Profile"-->"Edit"-->"Select All"-->"Effect"-->"Noise Removal" then adjust the slider appropriately then "Remove Noise".
