J. Vernon McGee sermons

I downloaded and listened to about 5 J. Vernon McGee sermons last night, man he was tough! no watered down sermons here he was cut and dry and to the point, in one sermon he even said something about tongues and folks just getting up in Church and start speaking in tongues he did not like that at all and let you know it. I guess we might all be able to debate a lot of his opinions and beliefs, but I really just appreciated how he preached the Word and told you how it was, I would just imagine if we had these kinds of Pastors in the Churches all over America today the Church would be a completely different place of Worship. Wow! he was powerful thanks SI for these amazing and powerful downloads, I have just been Blessed all day just thinking about all those sermons from Mr. McGee I listened to last night.

On the other hand the churches might be almost empty because many would not have their ears tickled...

I have always enjoyed listening to him. However, my family would always have fun mimicking his "accent."

MrBillPro, Many thanks for suggesting McGee sermons. I just listened to
Heaven: What and Where is it?

I'm convinced that this one would stir saint and
sinner alike.

Summery:
McGee begins his message by reminding us that the Bible says little about heaven. However, he does not leave us disappointed! He extracts teachings from John 14 and Revelation 21 in such a way that a longing for heaven is stirred within us. He begins by describing characteristics of heaven that are of lesser interest and progresses towards the most exciting aspect of our hope: “Behold, I make all things new.”

(I will be downloading more McGee sermons, for sure. )

This is a bad thing? God didn't put seat belts on the pews, the same door in is the same way out. The job of the pastor, evangelist, prophet is to preach the word...the Holy Spirit does the rest. The shape of the modern church today is because men of God have failed to preach the word.

I totally agree, most are like being at a pep rally
they get you all cheered up over your team but forget to tell you anything about the team. :-)

Diane, I just downloaded that sermon, I am going to check it out, he has so many sermons I just went through a few at random and downloaded about five of them and they were all good as I am sure this one you downloaded will be.
Thanks Bill
