Does anyone have any personal experience of the 'Walk to Emmaus' weekend retreats and organisation? Some people in my circle have become involved in it and I am quite cautious about it, particularly because it seems a bit secretive. Any positive or negative experience or thoughts?

I have never personally been involved, however several people from my church have and they are some of the most faithful christians I know. One is our assistant pastor. They feel very blessed to have been a part of it.
I know some people who have gone, but have never gone myself. they seemed to have been blessed by it. from what I understand it is just four days of being cut off from the outside world and shut in with your Bible...if I had the opportunity, I would go.
