Hi John,
Pretty wonderful problem to have isn't it?
This site has made me so hungry for change...for more of Him...for a holier (by far) life, etc. There are so many resources here. I am a bit overwhelmed. When I look at all the sermons, both downloads and text my eyes cross.
Just wait, it gets worse! ;-) What I mean is the challenges keep coming. Different perspectives on very much the same truths, the changes are often daily in how our own perspectives are shaped and reshaped from all that goes on, in and through all these things.
Definitely try the search function, it can sometimes be a bit tedious but is often worth the digging. Just as well there is a different search engine at the bottom of the "Site Discussions" main area. Another neat feature is the ability to sort within the main forum sections. For instance "A.W.Tozer". If you go to the top you can 'sort' as far back as "From the beginning" of SI's inception. There are some gems buried within these posts, often with surprising results, links to other mentions of messages and so on.
Some other names if you haven't yet;
Devern Fromke
Gerhard Du Toit
J. Sidlow Baxter
Richard Owen Roberts
T.Austin Sparks
Art Katz
Hope the top downloads don't ever give off the wrong perception, many of these are ones that have been listened to time and time again. Over time when your perspective is altered or broadened, to come back to them ... it's amazing sometimes the freshness they can have.
Lastly, could but hope there was more discussion on the messages here. Haven't had the luxury of listening to as many as in days past, but have a real sneaking suspicion that there are untold gems waiting to be discovered here. Keith Daniel was such a one for a time. His messages had sat here practically undiscovered until one day some saint brought him to everyones attention and ... the rest is now SI history.
