The angel of the Lord went up from Gigal to Bokim and said... - Judges 2:1When the angel of the Lord had spoken these things to all the Israelites the people wept aloud, and they called that place Bokim. There they offered sacrifices ot the Lord. - Judges 2:4hmm.. this puzzles me abit and doesnt seem right. Why was the angel having to come and give this message to the Israelites, Joshua was still alive and was the spokesperson for Israel. Is there any signifigance in the locations that the angel goes to? I will think about this more.

You'll probably want to do a little more research on this, but just as a quick help - I read through the Bible with a group of people about a year ago and we came to the conclusion after reading the OT that the phrase "angel of the Lord" is actually referring to Jesus Christ Himself. I'm fairly confident that doing some cross-references on that phrase will yield the same conclusion. Phillip

In those days when the number of disciples was increasing,... - Acts 6:1So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith. - Acts 6:7was increasing...increased rapidly...large number...The early church saw beyond the possible and they let God be God in and amongst them. The twelve apostles said 'it would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God', this was the secret of the early church where they had access to God himself and surely if they neglected that the church would decline.
