I started reading this with a smile...it ended with tears. It's just so sad that it's true.

We must pray more now than ever.

God Bless

More about myself

Chorus:
More, more about myself,
More, more about myself;
More of my goodness I shall see,
More of my ego. Let me be.

9. Be Thou My Hobby

That reminds me of something someone once said:

Most people just drop their 'bad' habits for a new one- church.

How about:

1)Fade, Fade, A Bit Of Earthly Joy.
2)Lamb Of God! Our Souls Quite Like Thee.
3)Here To Feel Nice We Are Gathered.
4)My Heart Sometimes Rejoices In Thy Name.
5)Tell It Out With Gladness If It Doesn't Lose You Your Reputation.
6)Someone Must Tell The Glad Story, And Someone Else Will.

How about:

Sitting On The Premises

Onward Christian setters, but don't go out the door

Take Time to Be Human

I Believe in a Hill called Mount Carnality

I Stand in Apathy

The Little I Serve Him

Have Mine Own Way Lord

There's Something in the Blood

Although these are light-hearted I offer them with a heavy heart and it makes me pray for those these actually represent. It tears me up that the Church is not "A Glorious Church Without Spot or Wrinkle" but rather "A Grumpy Church Splotched and Crinkled."

Pray, Pray Hard because God Answers Prayer!
In His service,

(A.W.Tozer)
There was a day when men sang, "Holy, holy, holy," and ohh, worshipped the king and they talked objectively about the greatness of God.
Then we backslid into that gutter where we still are, where everything is about 'I'.
'I'm so happy'.
'I'm so blessed'.
'I'm so nice'.
'I'm so good'.
'I'm, I, always I'.
Well, the difference between heaven and hell is the difference between God and 'I'.
Keep that in mind always.

Backward Christian soldiers, fleeing from the fight
With the Cross of Jesus nearly out of sight.
Christ our rightful master, stands against the foe
But forward into battle, we are loathe to go.
Like a might tortoise moves the Church of God
Brothers we are treading where we've always trod.
We are much divided, many bodies we
Having many doctrines, not much charity.
Crowns and thorns may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
But the Church of Jesus hidden does remain.
Gates of Hell should never 'gainst the Church prevail
We have Christ's own promise, but think that it will fail.
Sit here then ye people, join our useless throng
Blend with ours your voices in a feeble song
Blessings, ease and comfort, ask from Christ the King
With our modern thinking, we don't do a thing.
