Forward Scout

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Yesterday was an incredible day in my walk with the Lord. The bottom line of what occured is found in Isaiah 62:1

For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.

I have had a calling on my life for a long time, but I have wrestled with the issue of surrender. The time has come to obey Him and say what I must say.

When I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, there was a brother who gave me a prophetic word. To paraphrase he said, "I see you as a forward scout in the army of the Lord. Forward scouts are lightly armed. They sneak in close to enemy lines, spying out their activities and movements and report back to the generals the plans and methods of execution he has discerned."

This word has been very accurate. I recognize the ploys and stratagies of the devil and his minions at a level that few others do. I have never read or heard of anyone else who is filling this office in the body.

Part of my reluctance to speak has been that this type of "ministry" is not one that I see taking place behind a pulpit on Sunday mornings. Our focus must be on Jesus, when we lose that focus we begin to drown.

This forum is not church. There are so many mature brothers and sisters here. Such deep and abiding love for the Lord in so many hearts. Because this is not a church, yet is the body of Christ in a unique form I have decided to put this stuff out and see where the Lord wants to take it from there.

I sincerely ask for yor prayers. These expositions will not be appreciated by the enemy ranks. I also ask for your feedback. I know I am called, but beyond this forum, I don't know how to proceed.

In His Love,

Doug

Dear Doug,

I am blessed by you stepping out. We all need to hear the revelations that God puts in each others hearts. When we all come together we make a whole.

If what you share is in the form of a prophecy you will need to submit it to the moderators first, however it if is not a prophecy share away and believe me you will be scrutinized carefully.

This is a bit undaunting, however, I have found it wonderful. It has really caused me to sink my roots down into what I really believe and why I believe it. I am so..... greatful for this forum because it is truly solidifying me in my understanding of the word. Also the maturity and wisdom of many men and women on this forum have added to my understanding.

I want to hear what you have to say as long as it comes from a heart of love and a desire to see others helped.

I have to be very careful to really pray before I post. I have deleted long things I have written because there was too much of me in it.

I don't want to get on my preach. I want to share the heart of God as He reveals things to my heart. It is easy to want to have something to say about everything. However, God has shown me I am only to speak about what is mine. Like healing, I have been healed of numerous things. I have said to the Lord if I die I am believing you have provided healing for me and I walk in health. This is mine. I can speak on this. However I can't speak on the rapture because I have no revelation on that. So I but out and leave that to whom it is given.

Also God brought me up short about getting in contention. If a thread gets ugly, I bow out. I am not going to sow discord amoung the brethern.

I look forward to you sharing and getting to know you better.

Hey Doug. Your title caught my attention caught my eye and I had to read simply because I am a scout/forward in the Army national guard. I have been such for six years.
But beyond that experience I am young in the Lord, willing by His grace, to grow in the stature of the fulness of Christ. With that said my tongue drips in anticipation to hear what God has given you to say...
