Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites. - Gideon 6:1This is a spritual truth that if we live in disobedience long enough and keep blatently disobeying God then he will give us into our sin and it will be a time of oppression. Let us pray that we can stay obedient before the Lord and seek his face always.

For she thought, "If I just touch His garments, I will get well." Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Mark 5:24-34It is my understanding that the Jews held to the traditional teaching that the Messiah would have healing power in the corners of his robe. What is beautiful here is that the woman with the issue of blood demonstrated her faith in Jesus as the Messiah when she reached out and touched the corner of his garment. Yes, in Malachi 4:2 it says, "And the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings."The word for "wings" in Hebrew is "kanaph." Another place this is used is Numbers 15:38, where it says:"Speak to the sons of Israel and you shall say to them that they shall make themselves fringes on the corners [kanaph] of their garments, for their generations. And they shall put with the fringe of each corner [kanaph] thread of blue."Jesus would have worn one of these garments; the Greek word translated as the "hem" or "fringe" of his garment is "kraspedon," which is used in the Septuagint (Greek) of Numbers 15:38 for the "fringe." It is the same Greek word, so it is clear that this woman's actions would have been a statement of faith in the identity of Jesus Christ as the "sun of Righteousness."
