Have thought about this verse from time to time recently and thought I'd post it along with some other translations. Thought it might be a good reminder for us all.

2 Timothy 2:23 But foolish and ignorant questionings refuse, knowing that they gender strifes.

Foolish and unlearned questions gender strifes, and only by pride cometh contention.

What do you think is the connection between pride and foolish and unlearned questions? Or is there something else implied here?

Hi eveyrone. Thank you all for your responses. Vico, I think there is alot to ponder in that question you posed. Maybe it will be something to meditate on for me personally, especially looking back.

I think I've experienced alot of these sorts of questions in speaking to people on the streets. Although it doesn't seem to happen so much anymore and that may have to do with learning how to recognise them and steer the conversations away from them.

A part of this verse just flashed into my mind, perhaps it is go to leave us with for now...
